• The overall stay was awesome. We were right on the river walk and the service was outstanding.
• The rooms were quite small.

“The hotel was very clean, our room was small but comfy, and the service was extraordinary. Our room had a balcony that faced the pool area but access to the river walk was so easy to get to. All the staff was always willing and eager to help anyway possible. Being right there on the river walk made getting to attractions and shopping very easy. We were right in the middle of all the great restaurants and within easy walking distance of all attractions. We had room service at 2a.m. one morning after being out that night on the river walk and the service was outstanding as was the food! Overall it was a great trip and a wonderful hotel stay. I read the other reviews prior to leaving and was a bit nervous about where we were staying. I must say as far as our stay it was great and everything looked just as it does in the pictures, absolutely beautiful. I would stay here again and highly recommend it to others!”

• Everyone was very helpful and friendly.
• They did not replace any of the items that we used in the room the day before.

“I was on my honey moon and it was great staying there. If I ever wanted to impress someone I would take them there. I have never found a group of people more friendly and helpful as I did there. It will be a stay I will never forget.”

• Very friendly, fun, relaxing, top notch.
• Prices for the drinks and food but that was expected.

“This hotel is very clean and welcoming. I expected fantasy but they were over the top friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are beautiful with excellent views. I would look into staying there again if I go to San Antonio ever again!”

• I liked the location on the River Walk. I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the pool area. The beds were very comfortable.
• A can of soda was $4 and no pop machines available. For as much as you pay to stay there the wireless internet should be free.

“This hotel was absolutely beautiful. I loved the Spanish feel to it. The rooms were very comfortable and roomy enough to gather in. The service was very nice and accommodating. They were very willing to help in any way.”

• It had more character than most hotels, the architecture and design was very attractive. The bar was very cozy with excellent service.
• Could hear the street noise late at night.

“We have stayed here before and have become very fond of this hotel. Its location is awesome and it has wonderful amenities. The Margaritas are the best we've ever had. Great place with or without kids.”

• The Bed.
• They did not clean my room I had too!

“Cleaning staff should be fired. They lost my truck and then found it 2 hours later. I had to clean my own room I stayed there 2 days.”

• Locale near River Walk.
• Inside room with double glass doors to hallway.

“Their reputation was above our experience. Our room was rather small, inside, with double glass doors opening into the hallway. It was not worth the price we paid.”

• No microwave or refrigerator.

“Comfortable rooms, but no microwave or icebox. Parking at the motel was 25 to 30 dollars a day. Great location though.”

• It was right on the RiverWalk.
• Bathrooms were very small for a Double Room.

“This property is directly on the RiverWalk. It has a nice heated Courtyard pool that the kids enjoyed. Staff was very friendly. We traveled with kids ages 3-11 and we all enjoyed our stay!”

• Very nice, spacious room very comfortable.
• It was next to the elevator shaft.

“I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and I must say it is now better than ever. Wonderful Old World style with all of the modern amenities.”

• Convenience to the river walk.
• parking was at a premium and beds were small, restaurants not kid friendly more adult oriented.

“Would recommend for couples, but not families. Would prefer larger rooms and parking could be much better. Dining options were limited at the hotel and not kid friendly.”

“Fantastic location. Near the center of things without being "in the center" of things. Quiet room, and the staff was friendly. Only quibble: ordered "express" lunch and then waited 35 minutes for food in hotel restaurant.”

• Pleasant and helpful staff, excellent convenient location.
• Traffic noise, small room without private balcony, clothes washers and dryers not available.

“Charming old hotel with excellent, pleasant staff. Very convenient to Riverwalk and other downtown attraction within walking distance. Many rooms however face street traffic/noise.”
