“Very nice, would highly recommend to anyone who has never been. So far (and we've stayed at quite a few San Antonio hotels), this is the best in town. Price was reasonable, and parking at the garage a block away was only $12 for 24 hours. She loved it, and I earned Brownie points, so no real complaints here. I would have loved to get a chance to explore this entire historic hotel.”

“Enjoyed our stay. This room was a little smaller than the last one we were in. Still nice.”

“I was pleased with the staff and safety of this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. I already recommended this hotel to my parents that are traveling soon.”

“This hotel is well renovated, and allows the guests a glimpse into the past. The staff was friendly and well informed. The room we stayed in was large, comfortable and quiet. The beds had the best hotel mattresses I have ever slept upon! I would have liked to extended my stay.”

“I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel given it's current 3.5 star rating. I felt that housekeeping wasn't quite as thorough as I would have liked and the pool is entirely too small. The room was in good shape for an older hotel and the location could only be better if it was right on the River walk. I enjoyed my stay despite the minor inconveniences of a weak housekeeping staff.”

“Staff was extra friendly. The rooms were quite small for our taste. Bathroom only had a pedestal sink with no vanity for our toiletry items. Pool area was very noisy due to a vent on the side of the hotel. Whirlpool only had 1 jet blowing, when there were 6 other jets not working.”

“I was expecting something a little better than this, especially since the same amount of money bought me an amazing room at the Comfort Suites of all places in the middle of New Mexico! This Sheraton, though located close to the Riverwalk which is nice, is a total disappointment. It's in desperate need of a face lift; the rooms are small, hot and filthy. The towels are so old they're falling apart. Someone needs to invest money into this hotel pronto!”

“The hotel was very clean and the hotel staff were very attentive. However, the room was too small to be comfortable, and the food was barely edible. When working at the desk, my fiancé was not able to walk between the bed and my chair. The bathroom was equally as small. I do not like having to move around the toilet paper spool when attempting to sit at the toilet, or bumping my elbows on the soap dish in the shower. Room service delivered food that we didn't finish due to the taste and quality. Grilled chicken isn't supposed to be dry and rubbery, and Alfredo sauce is not supposed to be cheese clumps swimming in pools of margarine.”

“The hotel was fine. I was given a room that is not normally rented out by itself.”

“1st time in San Antonio, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel parking lot will cost you $22.00 a day. Lounge drinks were somewhat expensive, that's why we visited the Riverwalk many times and the hotel Lounge once. We didn't even try the hotel restaurant. Great location.”

“The room was very small! The hotel was nice but not luxurious enough for the amount spent for one night regardless of the location! No complimentary breakfast which as not a big deal until you get charged 2 bucks for a bottle of water that they have available in the room which I felt should have been free! For the money I spent on this room I could have very well spent a few dollars more for a four may be even five star room and would have had more luxury, amenities, and better location! Had i spent half the price of this room I would have had an even more variety of amenities included with an exceptionally clean and beautiful hotel down the road from this one! I was not pleased at all with this hotel and will never book again with them!”

“This hotel is in a great location, just a couple of steps from the Riverwalk. The entrance to the hotel was beautiful and the room was very nice and roomy. The only problem we had was the number of towels and the quality of towels that were placed in the room. There was not enough towels placed in the room and the towels were dingy and rough.”

“Hotel was great. Price was incredible. Was on corner of hotel, so got a good view from both areas. Was noisy outside the first night, but this was when the one won game 7. This was no reflection on the hotel though.”

“The location was great within walking distance of the Rivercenter Mall, and a block from where the Fiesta Parade took place. The hotel had a more historical feel; our room was spacious and had a beautiful bathroom. The only thing that I didn't like was the parking, it was full both days that we were there, and we had to park across the street in another separate parking garage, that cost me $6 additional a day, which was $16 less than their valet (for overnight guest it will cost you $22!) The parking would be my only complaint, everything else was wonderful.”

“Accommodations were unacceptable! We were given a room with one double bed. We requested roll a way beds but were only given one, leaving one child without a place to sleep comfortably. We got 2 rooms and the guests in the other room had the exact same problem. The hot tub didn't work and we waited for our car for almost an hour upon departure.”

“The price was great for location. Intent is new hotel within river walk area. This hotel was great and made for a wonderful trip so family could walk to places and never pull out cars once we were there.”

“Overall the hotel was fine. The bathroom needs to be renovated. There was no refrigerator unless you paid a fee. The newer hotels now offer a refrigerator and a micro wave. This needs to be considered.”
