“The hotel had great service and a wonderful breakfast cafe with great service overlooking the River Walk. The only thing that took away from this hotel was the leaky A/C system that dripped water, making it smell musty in some areas. Our room was great except for the very dirty bathroom floor. Otherwise a good value for the money.”

“The hotel was great. All staff was great. We took the red eye so we were very tired. It was nice to get in our room and take a much needed nap.”

“We walked from the Rnr Marathon finish line to the hotel. They stored our luggage for us prerace. We went to eat on the Riverwalk which was great and then walked straight in from the river up to the front desk when it was time to check in. Walking from the hotel to any of the major downtown areas was very easy. The beds were on the small size but the view of the river down below and the construction going on across the way was interesting. The view from the 25th floor was something to see. The pool and hot tub were small and just for limited use. The noise level was low and that was even straight across from the elevators. The maintenance man helped me out by delivering a bottle opener for a post race brew. We would stay there again anytime.”

“Great location and price. For some reason they didn't charge us for parking, which we really liked. They also took away our phone charges, I don't know why but they said don't worry about it. Next time we'll try someplace else but not because we didn't like the Holiday Inn.”

“Well where do I start. We checked and went to the room. Well, while we were in the room I had told my husband that the room smelt like mold! He had took off his shoes and walked around and discovered that the floor was completely wet! I called down to the front desk and told them what was going on with the room. They were friendly and helpful. They switched rooms with us, and put us in the room under the one we were originally in. The room still had a moldy smell to it, but my husband was tired of dealing with the whole thing and said it's fine. Oh, while waiting for the elevator to take us to the lobby we ran into another couple and they were having the same problems we were having! My husband and I will never stay there again!”

“It was a nice hotel. Not really a romantic hotel, even though San Antonio was great. Also, different parts of the hotel closed earlier than the signs on the doors actually said, and I waited for someone to fix come the lock on the door for 30 minutes, only to call back and have them tell me that the sign on the door was wrong.”

“Overall our stay at the Holiday Inn was very pleasant. While on the Riverwalk, it kind of reminded me of some places in Europe that I have visited. I would definitely recommend San Antonio as a place to visit to others.”

“The location is great, a little off the beaten path, so it's quieter on its end of the Riverwalk. Over land you are nearly 2-3 blocks away from the Alamo, and the walk is almost as nice as walking the Riverwalk. The parking was practical and you can park yourself for a little bit cheaper parking fee. Overall I would stay again.”

“Valet parking was only $20, which is really good for San Antonio. The room was nice and quiet. Great access to Riverwalk.”

“We were placed on a smoking floor and it was so permeated with smoke my eyes were red and irritated in the morning. The room was a nice size with a couch, but the sheets appeared unclean and the hotel was old. I also felt itchy in the sheets, like I was being bitten. I only needed to stay one night, but I would have stayed somewhere else if I had to stay another night.”

“We loved the location of this hotel. It was further away from the crowded areas of the Riverwalk, yet very accessible and close to the sights of San Antonio.”

“This hotel was nothing like I expected in any hotel. There is no good signs announcing the hotel's name, we passed it 3 times before finding it. Also, road construction was right in front. Our tiny damp room with a view of the Riverwalk had no vent in the bathroom. After each shower, the entire room became steamy. No one could fix their hair. Not to mention when someone when to the bathroom, with no vent, well, frankly as the room was tiny, everyone had to suffer and the smell stayed in the bathroom and lingered into the room itself. Last day there we are told the one elevator that goes to the parking garage is broken. They see us standing there with a ton of luggage and suggest we take the stairs up 3 flights to the parking level. Yes, I am so sure my 6 yr old could have drug her suit case up stairs! When I refused I was given the option that we could take the luggage downstairs and wait for my husband to go get the car. By the way the staff told me this, I knew they did not want myself, or my children standing with luggage anywhere near their entrance doors. So, I stood with the luggage and smiled a happy goodbye. There's several other hotels on the Riverwalk. I won't be back to the Holiday Inn.”
