“The hotel was beautifully decorated and the room was definitely luxurious. The staff was extremely helpful and the checkin was the quickest I have ever experienced. The balcony afforded no privacy as the balconies below were over sized and you could see and hear the people on the floor below when they were outside on their balcony.”

• Beautiful lobby and great amenities.
• Room service food was mediocre, getting my car from valet took almost ½ hour when I left.

“The hotel is gorgeous and the staff was friendly and helpful. The food was mediocre and not worth the cost especially for room service. My room was large, very comfortable and had a small deck overlooking the River Walk the view was not very pretty as it looked across to a parking garage and office building, but the room itself was great.”

• Location of the hotel, comfort of beds, and cleanliness of room.
• Service in bar - ordered appetizers but after 30 minutes, had to cancel order.

• Good common areas, Great merienda.
• Poorly trained staff, expensive valet, expensive business center.

“I can't recommend this hotel. The staff in unfriendly and the service is mediocre. You are paying hotel prices and getting motel service. The staff is unapologetic when they make mistakes, and they are all constantly chatting with each other putting the client second. Never would I go back there again. Try Contessa next door, for good service. Try the Menger hotel brunch, best meal you'll have in San Antonio.”

• Convenient to the river walk, and
  beautiful view.
• Valet parking; no other option. My car was released to another guest they almost drove off with it.

• Good location; very quiet part of the river, but a short walk to everthing.

“Overall a very nice hotel. The staff was great, the restaurant was good and the room was pretty good. The best part is that the hotel is located on a quiet section of the Riverwalk only a short walk to all the excitement.”

• Location, the staff, the lovely decor, the access to the river.
• Humidity.

“Loved the stay even if it was just for one night. I loved the staff. I recommend this hotel for everyone and anyone who loved luxury. Very nice room, but a little small. Stayed in a room with a river view but it was on the 12th floor. Not a very good view, just make sure if you get a room with a river view, its lower to the ground.”

• Easy walk to many attractions, restaurants.
• Parking expensive, inconvenient, $10/day for internet!

“The staff and hotel location were excellent. Parking was difficult and expensive. WiFi is free most places. Time to remodel. The carpet and furniture is showing some wear. On balance, a good stay but could be better.”

• Ambiance of room.
• The staff was awful, not helpful at all, and extremely unorganized.

“This is by far the worst experience I have had at a hotel. The staff, including 3 of the managers did not assist me on their billing mistakes. They charged me twice because the last name of another guest was similar (although the first name was not even close). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!”

• Nice location, nice rooms, great staff.
• Bed and pillows were not comfortable, parking fees very high.

“Great hotel, very nice location, staff is very friendly. Room was great despite the bed being not too comfortable. Only downsides were parking fees, bed and lack of fridge/microwave (staff provided those on 2nd day).”

• Of course the bed and we lucked into a balcony room.
• Can't think of anything.

“When we arrived we checked in quickly, even though there was a cheer and dance competition taking place in San Antonio (of which we were a part). Out room was great, it was clean and we lacked nothing. The restaurant was great. We ate there one evening and the buffet on Sunday morning. Our waiters were very good. We checked out easily. We had a very enjoyable week-end.”

“Hotel was nice but we had to pay for parking and there was a convention so it was always very busy in the lobby. It was hard to talk to the front desk.”

• They upgraded us to a suite which was nice.
• Our maid was the weak link at this hotel.

“A beautiful hotel in a great location. While the riverwalk was on a quiet strip, you didn't have to walk too far for the restaurants and stores. On street level, you were close to as much action as you wanted. Very nice stay with nice staff.”

• It was very nice and conveniently located.
• I had a box shipped to the hotel and it took 20 minutes, to retrieve it for me.

“This hotel is located near everything. It will take you about 5 minutes to walk to the mall, convention center, and restaurants. The rooms were very spacious. I can't believe that I'm saying this, but the thing that stands out most about the room was the bathroom. It was very nice and very spacious.”
