• Location.
• The staff was not all that helpful.

“I had a problem when I checked in. I wanted to try to change my room to one with two double beds (or queens) instead of one king. They were not able to help me and didn't seem interested in trying. Other than the staff the hotel was adequate, but not as nice as the hotel next door that I also used.”

• It was very clean and convenient.
• Bathroom areas were small.

“I would recommend the hotel to others. There is a nice lobby area and the pool and grounds were nice. The rooms were average, but very clean and met our needs. It was also convenient to the interstate and a fair walk to the river walk area.”

• Overall this is a very nice hotel and could easily have been a 3 star hotel.
• The locations is not good. Walking back from downtown at night can be scary.

“Overall I really liked this hotel. However, walking back from downtown at night isn't fun. You must walk thru some creepy areas. Take a bus or cab. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel.”

• I liked the courtyard and also the fact that was within walking distance to the river walk (about 1/2 miles).
• Some of the rooms in the hotel face an industrial area.

“My husband and I liked this hotel. If you do not want to pay or cannot afford a hotel at the River Walk, I recommend this hotel. The rooms were nice specially the ones facing the courtyard. We stayed four days and everyday we walked to the river walk.”

• Clean, very nice movie selection.
• Restaurant only opens until 10:30 am.

“Further from riverwalk than expected, but the trolley was right outside and very convenient. Clean rooms, comfortable. The restaurant was quite a disappointment - shockingly, only open until 10:30 am and the breakfast was terrible. Unprofessional front desk staff.”

• There was not enough room at the dining for breakfast.

“The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend it again. The only problem was we were going to ride the trolley to the Alamo dome, but it did not come in time for us to make the meeting.”

• The hotel was close to downtown and the bus would pick you up there.
• The hotel did not have a bar.

• It was in a very convenient location and the people were kind and courteous to out-of-towners.
• It ran out of extra pillows.

“The hotel was very high quality. It was in a great location right outside of River Walk (by less than a mile), but was connected to the Yellow Route of the trolley system (very cool in itself). It provides the accessibility of San Antonio without the crowds and noise. The staff was also very nice. The only complaint was that the maid service knocked on my door every morning around 9 am. I'm a visiting student from Penn State out for the Alamo Bowl and we don't wake up that early by a long shot.”

• The hotel places water in your room, and if you want it, you pay $3.00. Plus, no complimentary breakfast bar. It costs you $9.00 each.

• Nice. Clean. What I expected.
• The exterior appearance of the building is not very appealing when driving up.

“Overall, a nice hotel. The exterior could use some curb appeal, but the room was comfortable and clean which is what really matters.”

• Free cookies at the counter for breakfast.
• Umm, the pillows and the mattress to me were not comfortable. Did not sleep well the first night but, did on the second night (due lack sleep).

“Overall the hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The hotel is excellent for a business traveler.”

• Free internet, good sized rooms.
• The elevator was really slow.

“This is a good place to stay in the San Antonio area, you do not need to rent a car since the trolley stops right outside and will bring you to most areas for $1. The rooms were sized right for business travel.”

• Air conditionings - fluctuates from warm to cold throughout the night and make loud sounds.

• The king size bed was very comfortable and bedding for the sleeper was in the room. No waiting for housekeeping.
• Some front desk employees were not really good with directions. We were given directions that did not include north/south/east/west.

“I booked this hotel at the last minute and I was very delighted. I normally prefer the Sheraton hotel chain, but because this was a short trip I wanted a room a little more economical. During my stay, my 5 year old son wasted a cup of hot chocolate, and burned his arm and legs. To my surprise, Perlita with the hotel restaurant was there. She ran to get us an antibiotic ointment for the burn and also comforted him until he stopped crying. This was a true example of "concierge" service. The location was great, the price was right and I enjoyed my stay. FYI: the bottled water in the room is not complimentary! ($2.83 with tax).”

• Good room - good breakfast - good experience!
• It was a handicapped room and I did not care for the shower.

“This was a nice room. We were located equidistant from our two destinations during our trip. The only thing would be that we were put in a handicapped room (neither my wife nor I are handicapped). This was not a problem at all. But the shower stall has no lip and the drain allows water to drain all the way across the floor. This was somewhat unpleasant (but not a huge problem).”
