  • Quiet, good location.
  • First room was not cleaned.

“Overall it was okay - the first room we were given had not been cleaned - second room was clean some of the lights didn't work - it's not a room I would want if on vacation - one night for business was about all I would use it for.”

  • Good price and good convenient location.
  • No hotel gym.

“Nice, conveniently located, in a safe part of town. Very close to the medical center and relatively close to some nice parts of town. Great hotel for the price.”

  • It was not completely run down.
  • Lots of traffic noise.

“Old not the worst I have stayed in.”

  • Staff was friendly and helpful.
  • Lobby and stairways needed to be keep cleaner.

“When we arrived the hotel was booked so they had to upgrade our room, which was nice but the room, they put us in, was not by a elevator. We had a lot of luggage and it took several trips to get everything into our room. The staff was very helpful and tried very hard to make us feel comfortable. The room was nice but needed some minor fixes.”

  • I personally like the location.
  • Room had no working air conditioner and outlets not good either.

“As soon as I checked into the hotel, the staff on duty told me that he had my reservation but for some reason he did not have a room for me. He asked if he could go check a room that had not been used for a while and I told him okay because it was already late. When he came back he told me that the room was fine and in good condition. When my husband, kids and I went in the air conditioner was not working well, so the room was very humid all night. My kids could not sleep and my 10 month old baby was fuzzy all night. There was no hot water to shower with, the outlets were not working and to top it all off- only one lamp in the whole room was working.”

  • Close to major highway.
  • Dirty carpet, dirty parking lot; not a closed setting (doors facing open parking lot), safety is a concern.

“At most 1-star or lower.”

  • Housekeeping people were very nice.
  • Toilet backed up every day I was there.

“It's ok. Too far from Downtown (18 miles). Mainly a highway motel. You definitely need a car to stay here or expect to pay a fortune in cab fares getting back and forth into the Downtown area.”

  • Clean, comfortable bed, big shower.
  • No fridge or microwave in room, TV channel selection.

“Was a nice place to stay, clean, comfortable, close to the highway. The continental breakfast had a decent selection of items. No fridge or microwave in the rooms but ice machines worked well. The selection of TV channels was minimal, about 20, although it did include HBO.”

  • Helpful staff, good continental breakfast.
  • Beds were uncomfortable, overall condition of room is sub-par.

“Rooms are not as clean as I would have liked, especially for toddlers crawling on the floor. Drains are slow. However, great continental breakfast, staff is friendly.”

  • It was clean.
  • Pool small and uninviting. Basic accommodations only.

“This is an older basic motel. It is clean and will do for a safe overnight stay. Felt reasonably safe. Convenient location.”

  • This hotel did meet our needs. The continental breakfast satisfied us.
  • The bathroom in our hotel room was not very clean.

“This hotel did meet our needs. The bathroom was not very clean upon our arrival. It had a sour smell to it. There were some dark hairs on the side of the tub and on the floor.”

  • It was inexpensive and close to where we needed to be.
  • Traffic noise too high, outside entry is not as safe.

“The room was very inexpensive for the week we stayed, but there are no frills. The OJ machine in the lobby had fruit flies, there was mold and peeling paint in the bathroom, but it's fine if you just need a place to sleep. It's a convenient location by I-10, but it's also noisy because of that fact.”

  • Not much.
  • They stole our camera, we had to move rooms because of problems.

“Disappointment. The first night when we were ready to go to bed, we found one of the beds soaked to the mattress. I had to change the entire bed by myself and put a plastic garbage bag to cover the wet spot because they said we couldn't move. The next night we had to move rooms because the toilet was stopped up and overflowed in our room, there was no maintenance on duty and we ourselves tried two different plungers with no luck. At first they said we would just have to wait until tomorrow but finally when I insisted, they let us move rooms which was a hassle after we had already been there one night, and we were tired from being at Sea World all day and my mom is older and doesn't move around easily! The next morning my daughter realized she had left her purse in the other room in the hustle of switching. They found and returned her purse, which only contained some gum and her camera. Guess what? The camera was gone! We know for a fact the camera was in the purse. We had just come from Sea World and was looking at the pictures just before she put it back in her purse in the room just before the toilet incident began! The camera contained irreplaceable pictures that we hadn't had a chance to print! It put a major damper on our trip! The hotel said sorry, we didn't find it! Somebody needs to replace our camera! Don't use them as a hotel!”

  • Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean upon arrival. Good options in terms of dining inn, location, etc.
  • Small bathroom area.

“I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. My flight arrived a lot earlier than expected, so I called the front desk to request early check-in. The lady was extremely friendly and allowed me to check in hours before the scheduled check-in time. Although the bathrooms are small, it was just me, so I didn't really have a problem with it. I could only imagine if I went with my wife and 3 kids. I think it would have been too crowded. But, all in all, Baymont was a enjoyable place to stay and I would stay again.”

  • Near McDonalds.
  • Air conditioner kicked on and off all night walls too thin can hear everything outside.

“It was clean, air conditioner kicked on and off all night walls thin so you could hear outside. Had difficulty with TV plug ins. If you use the internet make sure your laptop fits a regular phone cord otherwise you are out of luck.”

  • I liked the closeness to lots of other food establishments.
  • It was a little dirty; this hotel needs a face lift.

“The hotel was clean. It was decent. This was not a four star hotel. If given the opportunity to stay here again I would choose a different hotel and spend a little more money next time.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Easy to get to; nearby restaurants; comfortable sized room.
  • Breakfast consists of primarily white flour (waffles, toast, bagels).

“We had a nice stay. The pool was outside our door, but they closed up at 10 and it was quiet. We stayed 5 nights, and only on the last day were we disappointed with breakfast. There was no juice, fruit, milk, yogurt, or wheat bread, just waffles, white bread and coffee. Overall, checking in and out was a breeze. Good budget place.”

  • Great location.
  • Midget bathrooms.

“Plenty of staff and friendly plus security at night so felt safe. The downside was the midget bathroom. I don't know how many times I hit the bathroom door know on my way out.”
