• Non smoking throughout. Very clean.
• Sort of tricky to find.

“Large room. Most (all?) rooms had balconies. Lovely, large pool and courtyard. Comfy bed.”

• Comfortable beds.

“For San Antonio this is a good option. Many of the hotels in the area are overpriced. Comfortable with a good location. Close to University of Texas, SA.”

• Staff were friendly, loved the Texas waffle maker.
• Jacuzzi wasn't working.

• Very clean and quiet. Lots of nice pillows provided!
• Needed bigger coffee maker. No continental breakfast.

“It was a great hotel, especially for the price. The location was tucked back away from the road so there was no road noise. The rooms were very clean. They provided several fluffy pillows on our beds which we loved. The staff was very friendly.”

• They were accommodating when we locked ourselves out of our rooms twice.
• Beware of the sliding glass doors! When shut they lock!

“Very friendly, courteous, but their breakfasts were extremely expensive ($10 per adult) and not included in the package. The rooms were like a La Quinta, but were nice enough to give extra towels & pillows when requested. They also had a refrigerator & a microwave in the room. Overall it was a good experience, but note that this hotel is not the closest courtyard Marriott to sea world.”

• The bed was very good and pillows were good.
• Pool and Whirlpool were not clean even after we asked.

“The courtyard was attractive with beautiful flora, a nice gazebo, but the pool and whirlpool were dirty. The mattress was very comfortable, nice assortment of pillows too. The bathroom was clean and well stocked, but the sink was clogged. There was a lovely patio, but the sliding glass door was very hard to open, even a strong man would struggle. The staff was very nice and friendly.”

• The room key worked and parking was available.
• It smelled musty and old and the AC made noise.

“I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The neighborhood was slightly scary, not their fault. BUT the room smelled musty, old, and had that nasty AC smell, like you could feel the microbes blowing on you. The bed was nice, though.”

• Indifferent front desk clerk.

“We like to stay in the medical center on weekends because it's QUIET, and close to the areas of town we like, so location of this hotel was a plus. The lobby and common areas were upscale and very accommodating. The room was what you would expect from a Marriott property: large, well appointed, clean, and quiet. The mattress was one of most comfortable I've ever encountered in a hotel.”

“Great for longer stays. You cant beat the comfort of the bed and pillows. It has every thing you need from internet to movies, in room coffee makers, a couch with a pull out bed for extra guest and a large desk. Perfect for business travel.”

• It was beautiful, and clean. The beds were so comfortable.
• The breakfast buffet was very pricey, nothing was complimentary.

“It was a wonderful, safe and clean hotel with the Riverwalk only 12 minutes away. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on. It was an excellent price for such a beautiful hotel. The breakfast buffet was pricey, and nothing was served complimentary.”

• Comfortable bed, clean, excellent staff.
• Room a little small.

“Overall, I can't complain. The bed was quite comfortable and I was able to sleep. The shower also had good water pressure with a high shower head. (Nice for tall people so they don't have to duck).”

• Did not realize that breakfast is not complimentary, pay like you go out to eat.

• Great location, spacious rooms, good design, nice area, whirlpool.
• Very warm and humid in the halls, elevator & ice machine out of order, some trash left in halls.

“I was very happy with this hotel choice, and I highly recommend it. The rooms were very spacious and clean, and the hotel is in good shape. But honestly one of the best things about the hotel is the location. It is close to fiesta Texas and sea world, but not very close to the river walk, Alamo, or the general downtown area. There can be a lot of traffic but the hotel is nicely hidden away in a little pocket and it was a very pleasant and quiet stay.”

“Recommended. In a good part of city. Very clean. Felt very secure. Two very minor negatives. A/c did not get cold. Remote control for TV was not very good. Once again, two very minor negatives. Overall, was a very good experience? Would stay there again.”

• Located in seedy neighborhood. No treadmill in workout room. Breakfast not included in price.

“Very nicely appointed business-class hotel, with large desk/work area, desk chair, and mini-fridge. Basic amenities but all very clean and tastefully decorated. Quite impressive for the price range.”

• Very convenient to our meeting location. I loved the balcony overlooking the pool.
• We did not get our newspaper and did not have a continental breakfast.

“I did enjoy the room and the balcony to relax on after a long meeting. Very convenient to the medical center. I do think some kind of breakfast should be offered (continental) however, for the price.”
