• All staff very courteous and helpful.
• No outdoor ashtrays.

“Pleasant, helpful, and courteous staff. Easy freeway access. Close to shopping and restaurants.”

• It had free breakfast as was fairly close to seaworld.
• Not clean. AC didn't work well. Reked of cigarette smoke.

“Outward appearance was nice but the reoom was not clean and reeked of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. Cleaning staff obviously cut corners as the floor was dirty. AC did not work well. Other guests had the same comments.”

• Good breakfast, close to restaurants.
• Bathroom dressing area could have been much cleaner.

“GREAT, especially for the price. No towels in room when we arrived, but were brought immediately when requested. Breakfast area was madhouse around 8:30, staff worked hard but unable to keep up with amount of people in the dining area.”

• It was close to a number of restaurants and Sea World.
• The maids were obnoxious and knocked on the door 10 times before 10:00 AM.

• Basic upkeep was not up to par.

“The location was good, close to Sea World and places to eat. The bathroom sink would not drain and the rubber matting in the bathtub was pulling up and away from the tub. The pool was supposed to be open by 10:00 am but was not, even after the front desk was reminded to unlock the gate.”

• Prompt service, cleanness of room.
• Bed, room locks, no safe, no fridge.

“Bedding accommodations were not asked, as a couple, we wanted a king and was given 2 full size beds. When I stayed in other hotels, the front lobby receptionist would ask what type of bed we would like. Also the key entry to the room is outdated. It works on a punch hole card and you have to insert very firmly to get it open. Without a room safe and the hotel being more of a motel, I did not feel safe leaving the laptop in the room. The continental breakfast could have a little more selection. I mean, it's got a waffle maker but no scrambled eggs or beacon.”

• The hotel was wonderful.
• My only complaint about the hotel was that it was on a one-way street.

“The hotel was pretty basic with all of the amenities that you would expect at a hotel of that star level. It was comfortable and quiet, and close to all the attractions.”

• The staff upon check-in was friendly.
• There are many things that I did not like.

“For a La Quinta, the hotel was obviously a franchise. It is not what anyone would expect a La Quinta be in a tourist city. Very disappointed.”

• The hotel was clean and neat. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. Bed comfortable & room cleaned everyday.
• The only thing I can think of is that the bath towels were kind of rough, not very soft.

“My room was clean and comfortable. There were extra pillows on my bed, coffee pot with coffee in the room. The grounds were nice and neat. The pool was clean. They had a very good breakfast that would suit anyone's taste. The location was just right for me. I was there for graduation at Lackland AFB and the room was only a few miles away but also close enough to get to the River walk and the Alamo. Would recommend it to anyone.”

• Ghetto rooms, shower clogged, vehicle broken into.

“Do not stay here. This is a ghetto La Quintal. Our vehicle was broken into. No one cared. The shower was clogged. Maintenance was off until after the holidays! The security officer was in the lobby playing cards because he did not want to go out into the cold to take a report. Do not stay here! Ghetto La Quintal.”

• 10 minutes from sea world.
• The hotel is rough.

“The hotel was unclean, had faulty smoke detectors, and opened to the outside where people were loud and hanging out by cars that didn't belong to them; there were no clean eating establishments nearby. I didn't feel it was safe for my toddler to touch the carpet.”
