“The hotel and staff exceeded my expectations. Despite that the hotel staff accommodated our every request for our room location and did so pleasantly. Our room was very well appointed, clean, and comfortable. This hotel was not really in walking distance to many nearby restaurants (as some other hotels are), but we had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant in the Holiday Inn which was next door. We had one of our best nights of sleep here on our long road trip. The expanded continental breakfast in the morning was a welcome treat before we headed out on the road again.”

“I thought that this would be a very nice place to stay and I could count on the cleanliness. However, I was mistaken. The Dust on the tray is the bathroom was enough to turn my stomach, but then when my daughter, who is a recent cancer survivor, was going to bed saw an old blood stain on her bedspread. The coffee pot was not cleaned out from the last guests, the bathtub needs repair and the heat did not work properly. The decor and layout is very nice and the room size and furnishings are very nice and the beds were comfortable, but I could not rest well because of what my daughter had found on the bedspread and what I found in the bathroom. The continental breakfast was very good and had more varieties than other places we had stayed on our journey to California to see my brother who is dying of Cancer. Also, in this hotel, one has to pay for all movies, there are no cable movie stations offered for the price of the hotel room itself. This was very disappointing, one pays enough now a days for gas and room and etc. The clerk at the desk was not very gracious when I explained the problems we had encountered in the room. She wanted me to wait for the housekeeping manager, but I told her that we were late in starting on our trip to Chicago, Blue Island, IL to be exact. I do not know if she reported it or not. As I said, this was a disappointing stay at a hotel, since as far as the decor it is great, but the cleanliness in many of the areas of the hotel could be improved.”
