• Staff was uncomfortable to approach and speak to about accommodation changes.

“I reserved a non-smoking room with double bed. Results: Smoking room with double bed in the middle of construction. There was a table saw right outside the door extension cord in the adjacent room. When I approached the desk to change rooms they had the audacity to ask why. The room is clearly visible from the large windows within the main office. There could be over 200 guest rooms and 10 cars parked outside. I would have had no problem if I received a comfortable room according to my reservation requirements.”

• It was clean and quiet.
• The phone was dirty (I used my cell) and the light fixtures etc. were old and dated and needed to be replaced and upgraded. A light bulb was out and.

“I have stayed in many Best Western Hotels and that's why I decided on this one. This was a Worst Western. The bed and bathroom were clean but there was dust on the various lighting fixtures and window sills and the telephone was dirty (crusted food on number keys etc.) The door had at sometime in the past been broken into and rather than repair the door jamb they patched it back together and the metal piece the bolt fits into was just screwed on and was very flimsy. There was a chain lock but I did not have a secure feeling. The staff was young women who didn't have much authority and were not much help. I stayed because I was alone and only there for one night. I spent the next two nights at the Doubletree in San Antonio and it was great in every way the Best Western wasn't and at the same basic price. I would have had better accommodations at the Motel Six for less money!”
