• The mural. Front desk area floor looked shiny clean.
• Dirty sheets! Insecure outside door. Dirty sheets. Dirty sheets!

“Hotel was probably lovely in its prime - wonderful mural in front desk area; once nice, now dusty, atrium; French doors - but it is long past its prime. Could not pay us to stay again. Rooms have doors to atrium & also to outside. Outside door was not secure (flap lock missing one screw, other 3 loose, completely stripped threads; door bolt didn't work; other was light weight slide bolt), clothesline in bath broken, blow dryer off the wall, a long black hair on one clean towel. Room smelled. Not quite right - discovered upon retiring it was the smell of BenGay or Vicks on both top & bottom sheets. The sheets were not clean! How many people have slept on dirty sheets? Have read reviews since saying sheets were not clean, so I think this must be routine. We passed on the free breakfast - not up for a gamble on what goes on in the kitchen behind closed doors! My hope is that this review saves someone from our experience. As we live 400+ miles away, hanging a banner in their drive that says "Want clean sheets? - Go elsewhere!" is not convenient.”
