• Location was convenient.

“You get what you pay for here. It isn't much, so don't get your hopes up. If you just need a comfortable bed to lay your head, you have exactly that. The interior of the room was nice enough. It's a motor inn, so all the doors open to the outside. I was at the back and lighting back there was minimal. I heard the garbage truck come early in the night. The seal around my door was also pretty much non-existent. Had it been during the winter a LOT of cold air would have entered. Overall, for what I needed, it was an okay place. Had I been staying longer than just 1 night I likely would not have stayed there.”

• Clean, friendly staff, good location.
• The breakfast was kind of sparse for the amount of people that were there.

“I felt the rooms were very nice and clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and I loved the location. All in all a very good experience and I would recommend the hotel to a friend or family member.”

• It is quiet.
• No refrigerate, or microwaves available.

“I would like to have a refrigerator and microwave in my room. More TV channels that you do not have to buy. Breakfast longer.”

• The room was ready on time.
• Our TV was not good.

“We reported that the ABC TV Station was snowy, and they said it would be fixed right away. It was never repaired nor did they call to say why. We were gone much of the time; so it was not as important as when we travel with our grandchild.”

• There was nothing I liked.
• Rooms were substandard.

“Beds were too low. Hotel in the process of being remodeled, but will still need work after current job is complete. Overall condition of the hotel was very poor. This is not a place you would want to take your family.”

• The hotel staff was great.
• It was being renovated. But I guess that meant they were making improvements.

“We would stay there again. The location was convenient but was not really in a safe place. The staff was excellent. The room was clean for the most part but the bathtub needed some work. Overall it was nice enough.”

• We liked the young lady receptionist. She helped us get a refrigerator and microwave for my daughter's milk.
• We found a fork and beer bottle under the bed.

“They said they could not guarantee us a non-smoking room, a king size bed, or a refrigerator or microwave. The room was not the cleanest. My son kept taking off his socks and his feet turned black from the dirt in the carpet.”

• Good breakfast and clean room.
• It was about 20 min. from where I was needing to be both days.

“Clean and neat, the hotel was not fancy but it met my needs and the needs of my family. We enjoyed our stay and would not mind staying there again. The staff was helpful and polite. The room was clean and smelled clean. There were no orders of smokers or dampness.”

• Room was dirty. Sheets and pillow cases had not been change.

“1 - the hotel cost over eighty dollars, 2 - the sheets and pillow cases were dirty, 3 - no water pressure4 - no hot waters - the ice machines did not work, 6 - the heater didn't work.”

• Wi-Fi was excellent and fast.
• It is more of a motel as the doors all open to the outside. Considering it is a transitional neighborhood, I think it is a bit of a security risk.

“LaQuinta Ave Q in Lubbock TX is just your basic amenity hotel. If your looking for luxury look elsewhere, as a business traveler who simply needs a bed and a shower and an iron that works it is a good hotel. All was clean, but slightly older in decor. Free wireless internet was a great perk.”

• Location to Texas tech university.

“The service was acceptable, but the room was not. It had been advertised as two queen beds, but they were full size. The bathtub took forever to drain; the other room we had reserved for family also had the same problem. As a matter of fact, they had to switch rooms because the first room they were assigned had a bathtub that did not drain at all. Overall, not a good experience.”
