• The kitchen area.
• The bed, the carpet was dirty, no amenities, really nothing much.

“The hotel room was dirty under the bed and stains in the carpet. There were not any amenities offered on site and they never offered any at another hotel like their web page offers. It costs extra for more than two people.”

• Ease in getting luggage to my room, staying on the first floor, close to front desk and front door

“I called several times for directions and each time the person I spoke to was very friendly and gave me excellent directions and always offered to help if I needed anything else. Once I arrived at the hotel, she was friendly and very quick in getting me checked in. She gave me directions to resturants close by and to a pharmacy. The experience was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would stay again.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful.

“This hotel would be a great place to stay if you were in Amarillo for an extended stay for business or if a loved one were in the hospital as there is a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave and cooktop. The facilities are pretty basic as there are no extra amenities such as pool, exercise room, etc. but it was clean with a friendly staff.”

• Located near the freeway.
• It was not clean and I did not sleep due to my allergy to cigarettes. It also had a very strange oder on top of the smoke.

• Ironing board.
• No breakfast.

“Clean, good bed. Very few TV channels. Not enough coffee in the room for 3 night stay. (2 packs). Think they could do better. Most of this kind have a free pop or popcorn in the room.”

• Convenient, quiet location.
• Housekeeping not on top of things.

“As Extended Stays name implies, it's really geared to the temporary resident, not the tourist, crowd. During our five-day stay we didn't get housekeeping service or a towel change. I know these things aren't standard at Extended Stay, but they should do a better job of letting you know how the system works. Even at a 1-star, you expect daily housekeeping.”

• Decent restaurants, shopping.
• Extremely dirty.

“We checked in late at night but staff was helpful. I'm really not that picky but the beds were very uncomfortable and the furniture, etc had heavy staining. Since I was traveling with 3 kids it probably made me a little more sensitive to it but it was still pretty gross. At least the lobby was clean.”

• Check in was quick.
• You have to call an 800 just to get to the front desk.

“First I needed the password to get on the internet. I called the front desk and was sent to a corporate number in another state and they said they would have someone contact me. No one ever called. At 3:50 am the fire alarm went off. No one ever was seen in the halls and to get any information we had called the front desk and were again transferred to a corporate number in another state and it was an emergency. Please don't have us go there again. We felt totally unsafe.”

• The receptionists were courteous and friendly. Loved the full size refrigerator!
• There was no cleaning service unless you stayed more than 7 days. No swimming pool.
