• It was clean, cheap, and to the point.

“It's a great hotel if you're looking for somewhere to sleep. It has a nice pool, clean rooms, and complimentary breakfast. It's pretty much just to the point.”

• The bed was comfortable
• Old, not updated, way overpriced

“This is an old property that badly needs to be updated. It is a MOTEL not a hotel. There is no inner hallway and traffic is noisy. In my room, the bathroom had hairs on the floor. The air conditioner worked but not well. I had it on 60 and it barely kept the room cool. My advise is to pass on this property and spend a little more to get a clean, updated room elsewhere.”

• No good restraunts in that area, least we couldn't find one.

“Price was to high, and room was not that great. Ice maker didn't work on our floor, and pool looked like it needed cleaning. We didn't use it. Cigarette
butt's on the stairs. If I could avoid this hotel I would.”

“It was close to the train tracks, so the noise level was a bit loud, but overall a

  TV channel selection.

“Located in a very part of town. Very run down. They were making repairs and painting, very strong odor of paint everywhere. Dishes from their continental breakfast were being washed in the lobby restroom and some were sitting on the floor and back of toilet. Lobby bathroom was NASTY!”

• Friendly staff and a quick late arrival check-in.
• Really close to train tracks and I was woken up in the middle of the night thankfully I was exhausted and was able to fall back to sleep.

“Rooms are no frills comfortable. The Continental Breakfast was pretty good with plenty of selections. I arrived very late and left after a quick breakfast. I did not pay too much attention to the hotel's amenities or what was nearby, except for the train tracks. I didn't see any restaurants nearby, but I didn't care since I wasn't planning to eat or stay long.”

• Convenient to events; comfortable bed; relatively quiet for being by the highway.
• Breakfast area not very big for weekend crowd.

• I got to make my own waffles.
• No pool.

“The place was cozy clean and comfortable the room itself was clean orderly and had amenities I'd never seen in a hotel before (pay per use N64 games!). My only problem was there wasn't a pool preventing the wife and I from skinny dipping.”

• The check out went flawlessly.
• Bed, bathroom, odor, high decibel level, water, towels.

“This is an extremely crapped out La Quinta. They should demolish the building and use the swimming pool as the basis for a Sanitary Land fill. La Quinta should be ashamed of their selves for having a sorry looking facility like the one in Midland.”

• The beds were EXTREMELY comfortable, and the room was big and roomy.
• The shower/tub area was very small. I felt very closed in and the alarm was set to go off at 12:00 AM.

“I thought it was a fantastic hotel for the money, in fact I am not sure I will ever stay at another mid-grade hotel BUT La Quinta.”

• Our room had a stifling smell and they only offered double beds. My husband and I couldn't sleep together!

“This hotel needs to get it together. The room we stayed in had been sprayed w/ something to make the room smell "good". Too much of a good thing is not too good. When we notified hotel persons they acted like it was our fault for burning candles. We were trying to neutralize the odor w/ a neutralizing odor remover. When asked if there were any larger sheets that would actually fit the beds we were sleeping on the answer was that a newer hotel had gotten their sheets and they ended up with that hotel's sheets; so, no they could not help us. This hotel was less than satisfactory for what we paid. They should have given us a better deal for that crap.”
