• The shower pressure was awesome! The beds were soft, the staff super nice, and the continental breakfast was better than expected.
• The pillows were too thin.

“Well worth the price of the hotel. It was clean and had a very courteous staff. The pool was closed for the season, so cannot report there. The continental breakfast was better than I expected it to be. I recommend this hotel to the budget traveler.”

• The employees were nice.
• It seemed run down, old, not well lighted. I felt pretty scared there with my kids. Pretty poor quality breakfast.

“It definitely needs a renovation. It was more like a motel than a hotel. It just had an indoor hallway. I expected a lot better quality for a Howard Johnson hotel.”

• It did not have that must/mildew smell like some of the others in Clovis.
• Room was too small; TV volume was too low, hard to get wireless connection.

“Overall it is a good place to stay. As far as the TV, being very hard of hearing, I found it hard to hear the TV, even when turned all the way up. Wireless connection? Forget it! Better off going with dial-up. The curtains defeat the purpose of ac, you need to have then open or try to cram them out of the way.”

• Friendly staff and had large breakfast room and breakfast items.

“Very friendly, family-type location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Pool well maintained. Lobby area has comfortable furniture (perfect spot for reading a book or the local newspaper, which they keep at the desk). Comfortable breakfast room with lots of options, including cereal and bagels/cream cheese.”
