• Public areas were worn and dirty, found large beetle in the room.

“This hotel was an attempt to retro fit an old motel with doors to the outside and glassed in hallways. Our room was in the old section with confusing access to main hotel, ice machine, etc. Would not stay there again.”

• Swimming pool was nice, but a little dark (not enough lights).
• Older place, pool was dark.

• It was clean and kid friendly.
• Out of date rooms and difficult to get to your room.

• Walls weren't insulated well, could hear neighbors.

“This was a nice hotel, the only problem we had was our neighbor's alarm was going off at 5 am and we could hear it. Also someone was banging on something pretty early. So if you want to sleep in, its not going to happen.”

• Great pool, game room, hot tub.

“Everything was good except the room smelled so bad we left the door open most of the time and had to buy air freshener spray just to be able to tolerate it (it was a smoking room) and they would not provide a non-smoking room.”

• Free shaving cream & razor.
• Smoking non-smoking room.

“I'm glad for the price. The room had an old cigarette scent, along with the sheets & comforter. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room. The air in the room was cold, even with the heat on. It wouldn't shut off. As soon as you walk out the room, the aroma of chlorine from the pool fills the rest of the building.”

• Pool area was nice, obvious effort made to modernize the room decor.
• Housekeeping left curtain wide open, allowing everyone in hall to see inside our room, see all our valuables including laptop.

“We had read many negative reviews of this hotel, but had a positive experience. We had asked for non-smoking room and were placed in a smoking room initially, however upon calling the front desk they were very quick to apologize for their error and gave us a non-smoking room. Although the style of the hotel is obviously dated, the decor was nice and updated, and the room was clean. It was a comfortable, enjoyable stay, and our 6-year old loved the pool area. The hot continental breakfast was a nice touch, and although we did find it to be very busy, the line moved quickly and the staff kept all the food topped up and all the tables clean.”

• Washer and dryers out of order.

• We appreciated the breakfast buffet.
• We had to wait in line for quite a long time for the breakfast buffet. If they would have 2 serving lines, it would speed it up.

“When we had checked in, we were in a smoking room, and needed to have a non-smoking room due to allergies. They accommodated us, but could only get full sized beds, and they had no rollaway left (we had 5 people in our family). The hallway carpets were stained. Would appreciate a special time for adult only swimmers after the 10 pm pool closing time.”

• Close to the Interstate.
• Inability to get a non-smoking or lower level room without having to change rooms for second night.

“We were very disappointed. It was not nice. The carpets felt dirty and just overall not clean. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

• The location is good.
• The hotel was smoke-filled. The AC didn't work (after 2 visits from the maintenance man).

“The hotel was smoke-filled to the point that our kids complained of itching eyes. The AC didn't work (after 2 visits from the maintenance man). The pool had a slimy feel to the bottom, and was sloped dangerously towards the deep end. The staff could not provide towels to the pool area near closing time, so the kids had to drip all the way back to our room in the satellite hotel building. This was a very discouraging experience.”

• The pool, complimentary breakfast, and on site lounge were nice.
• The auxiliary building is run down and dirty compared to the main facility.

“The main facility and common areas of this hotel are very nice and family friendly. This building is located behind the main facility, not connected and is dated, run down, and dirty. The carpets are far from clean and the mattress are beyond worn out. There seems to be a lower level of service in this building, as well. No bellman, staff doesn't respond to requests for items, but would request that you come to the front desk and retrieve things like an extra blanket and pillow. Housekeeping can take until 4 in the afternoon to freshen your room on a stay over. Not a bad hotel if you like feeling like a second class citizen, and have a lot of patience.”

• This is definitely a family oriented hotel with lots of activities for kids and families.
• Because of the family activities it tended to be noisy.

“For a fun family experience this is the hotel for you. It has a very accessible fun centre with pool hot tub and pool tables in an attractive centre area. It is like an oasis in a busy hectic travel world. There is something for everyone.”
