• Drive up to the door of room. Sound proof room.
• The staff wasn't friendly upon arrival. No fridge or micro in the room .

“Most hotels have a micro wave in the room and a small fridge and we expected one. The ice machine was a long away and due too no fridge we had to use it. The girl that checked us in was very abort with us and after a long day it would of been nice to have a pleasant arrival.”

• Very open and spacious, upfront parking, waffles!
• Not additional pillows in the room.

“The breakfast is great! Not the usual cereal and muffins. The service was great especially late at night check-ins. The room was open, nice size, shower had great presser and the bathroom area was very spacious plenty of room to get ready in the morning.”

• Centrally located for area attractions.
• No room refrigerator.

“This motel is well situated for exploration of area attractions - Badlands, Rushmore/Crazy Horse and Deadwood areas. Room was clean, well-maintained and adequate for what we were looking for. Staff was friendly and helpful in directing us, when we asked. Afternoon soup and cookies was a nice touch.”

• Nothing.
• The smell of the room was nothing but musty and horrific.

“I will never stay at this motel again. I do not recommend it to anyone. The rooms smelled horrible-like musty basement. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and the noise from the AC made it impossible to sleep.”

• Good location, friendly staff, great breakfast, and warm outdoor pool.
• It had litter around the facility that took away from its attractiveness.

“This hotel was perfect for our travels to various destinations in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The heated outdoor pool allowed for relaxation after a day of travel. The staff was friendly and willing to recommend various outings and restaurants. The continental breakfast was top notch for the price.”

• Size of room.

“Perhaps the smallest room I have ever stayed in! Air conditioner was mounted in the bathroom, so air flow has a hard time reaching the sleeping area. Carpet was filthy! Large stains.”

“When originally searching for a room, I advised I had two adults and one 14 year old. We were assigned a room with one double bed. When I asked the front desk clerk about it, she was extremely rude.”

• Outdated property.

“This property is in a great location, the lobby is very nice and the breakfast area is nice with a good selection. The room is very small with the bathroom even smaller, would be fine with just 2 people, not a bigger family. Overall, we stayed for 4 nights, that was a little much.”

• The hotel had a great breakfast.
• The hotel has 50 year old radiator style heaters that pinged the whole night.

“The breakfast was great and the rooms were clean. Sleep was impossible due to the incessant noise caused by the ancient heaters. The owner/partner was very rude and unhelpful.”

• It had a good central location and the free breakfast was good.
• The floor was dirty in our room and the room was fairly small.

“My infant probably had the most trouble, because there wasn't much room to crawl around, not to mention that the floor wasn't exactly clean. A quick trip to Wal*Mart fixed that quickly!”

• Very professional.
• Old, outdated, highly perfumed to compensate for age odor.

“The motel was old and outdated. The first room we were assigned was awful and the second one we looked at no better. They looked like they were for construction workers, etc. The pool was not open, or so I was told when I called before embarking on our trip, but there was water in it and I saw someone in trunks and towel. Did not use the cont. breakfast or soup/cookie hour in the PM.”

• It is location was great.
• Our room reeked of smoke and it was non smoking.

“The rooms were "smoke free" The moment I walked in the smell of smoke rolled out. After trying to open a window to get some fresh air.”
