• Close to Carlsbad Caverns.
• Towels, tissue, toilet paper, blankets, bed spread and no retable.

“It was not what I expected. I will add another star next time. Not satisfied at all.”

• The room had just been remodeled.
• Clean, but not clean enough & staff would not attend to problem with room.

“The staff at this hotel excluding the manager was rude, I had a problem with something in my room and when I called the office to report it, no one wanted to take care of me or the situation. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone especially for the price.”

• The staff was very friendly, and continental breakfast was good.
• Smoking rooms on third floor.

“They have a good continental breakfast and staff was very nice. The outdoor pool was well maintained, even though it was too hot outside to use it.”

• The indoor pool was great for kids.
• Needs some updating done inside and out.

“Overall stay was good. The people are friendly the room was good size to move around in. The indoor pool was clean. Not to far from things to do and restaurants.”

• Nice appearance.
• Pool/spa closed by order of the health department!

“The room smelled strongly of fresh paint upon entering first, but with the AC on for a few hours it did diminish. Otherwise it was fine-except for the spa/pool being closed by order of the health department.”

• I arrived early before check in and they had a room ready for me and let me check in early.
• The lights in the room didn't work and the pool was closed this wasn't mentioned when I booked it online.

“I had a great time in Carlsbad, nm but I would definitely not stay at this hotel again. It was not a pleasant experience with the lights in the room not working and the pool was closed we have to drive down the street the use another hotels pool.”

• The location to Carlsbad Caverns.
• The carpet felt dirty on my feet. The room smelled musty. Shower drain worked poorly.

“The outside of the hotel looked nice. The inside all over showed many signs of wear and the carpets in the hall and our room were dirty. Our room smelled to the point where my wife did not sleep well.”

• Location was good and staff was wonderful.
• Remodeling of stairwells started a little early one morning.

“Comfortable beds, fairly nice for level of hotel. Rooms good sized and very clean. Staff was exceptionally helpful and very friendly.”

• The continental breakfast was fine.
• Cleanliness is a real problem.

“As stated, cleanliness is lacking. There is certain grunginess to the whole complex. Cooking smells from the owner/manager permitted the building. The room seemed very cramped with the king bed, table, chairs. Will not stay here again.”

• Broken glass on the floor, dirty, bad even for the price.
