  • Attractive lobby area.
  • Room was far away, narrow halls, older type mattresses, fixtures, etc.

“Okay for the price.”

“We hated this hotel. It was old, no amenities at all. No refrigerator, the air conditioner could not be regulated, it was frozen and unable to change temperature. Terrible place.”

  • Room was as expected, location convenient.
  • Undergoing major renovation very disorganized.

“This may be a great hotel after the renovation but now it is not worth.”

  • Location.
  • The hotel had a very spread out layout, making the walk to the room long.

“Overall our stay was enjoyable. The hotel staff was very concerned about our comfort and checked on us several times to make sure we were ok.”

  • Great bed, large room, friendly staff.
  • Under renovation; shabby; confusing.

“This was the worst and only bad Crowne Plaza I have ever stayed at. Normally I love Crowne Plazas. The restaurant was a temporary room and very unpleasant and drab. Hard to find the hotel entrance and elevators. Registration office is small and ugly. This place was a mess!”

  • Beds! Also came with lavender spray, ear plugs, eye mask!
  • Fire Alarm went off at 3:30 AM! Lots of construction/remodeling going on at the hotel.

“Nice rooms. Nice pool area.”

  • Bed was comfortable.
  • Room was very dark. I did not feel the parking lot was safe, not well lit.

“Under some kind of construction. Seemed dirty. Room was ok. Parking was not safe. The Hotel is located in an industrial area.”

  • No.
  • This is not close to a 3 star hotel!

“Room not ready at check in. Had to move us to different room. Smoking in non-smoking Hotel. Beds not made. New Room. Bathrooms not clean. Water in sink, toilet, and bath all brown do to plumbing. Re-model going on. Hard to get to rooms. Staff gave poor information. Loud at 7:00 am due to re-model. They did clean bath, just told to run water until it cleans up. Not a lot of confidence in the safety of our stay. Can't believe this is a 3 star Hotel.”

  • Nothing.
  • Remodeling the lobby. No TV selection no internet.

“This place was a dump. Do NOT ever select this hotel for me again. The hotel is very old and they are in the middle of remodeling. I could not bring a client to this hotel for a meeting, so I had to stay in another hotel for an extra night to make my meeting. They have 9 TV channels and the Internet was not working. Calling this place a 3 star is a bad joke.”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[1] • Location:[4]

  • Good Beds, but that's all.
  • Construction 100 ft from my room.

“Horrible. The hotel was under construction and crews were working less than 100 ft from our room. The entrance we were told to use was packed with construction materials and smelled of paint. Every morning the work crews would show up and park right outside our room with there radios blaring while they ate breakfast. The construction in the room was not complete, missing base boards and the shower was missing tile and cover over the light above the shower. Even the hallways were missing the base boards and very dirty. Why would a hotel do this to a guest?”

  • The pool. Parking. Doors to outside from every room.
  • Confusing layout. Under extensive remodeling. Neither towel rack nor counter space at sink.

“I can see a few minor improvements as a "Crowne" hotel after being a Sheraton, but staying during construction is not as fun. Pool is still great, but the lobby, bar, & restaurant are just a room off a hall at this point. The rooms themselves need counter space at sink, and there are no hooks or towel racks--especially frustrating in the "re-use towels" movement in hotels. I do like the unique layout of the rooms and warm décor. The layout of the hotel is so confusing that to find our way around the first day; we carried a map- although signage was ample. We liked the pool, free apples in the "lobby", and free use of computers, but there were only 2 crammed into a small space. Usually it was busy, but people were quick to log off if others were waiting for one. Not exactly a 3-star right now, but I am sure it will be great after construction.”

  • Spacious room, shuttle service.
  • Under construction.

“Complimentary Downtown/airport shuttle was nice. Hotel lobby/restaurant, etc are under renovation-first stages-and rooms have yet to be done. Room still nice but furniture/bathroom needed update badly.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Atrium pool area, comfortable room, friendly staff.
  • Did not know it was under renovation until after we booked it.

“The hotel is old and although attempt has been made to maintain, it is very dated. Did not know it was under major renovation. Since we were only staying one night it was okay, but I would have been disappointed if I had been an out of area traveler and had to contend with the renovations at what I expected to be a 3-star upscale hotel.”

  • Location.
  • Freezing room (A/C turned on HIGH) upon entering and 10 degrees outside too.

“Have enjoyed this hotel in years past through many name changes. Showing its age. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Why have freezing rooms when it is freezing outside too? Maybe to clear smoke from Non-smoking room?”

  • The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable.
  • There is nothing I don't like about it.

“The Crowne plaza Colorado springs is a wonderful hotel that is extremely comfortable, great for families, business travelers and couples. The lobby is beautiful with a roaring fire in the winter; room service was great, fast and attentive. We love staying there and feel it is really a home away from home.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • Clean, comfortable bed, spacious bedroom.
  • Old, outdated, small bathroom.

“The hotel is conveniently located off I-25 in the southern part of Colorado Springs. The location is quite convenient, near a shopping center with restaurants, also a couple of gas stations. The big drawback of the hotel is the fact that it's so old and outdated. But they are undergoing a major renovation costing millions of dollars. The staff are also very friendly and the customer service excellent.”

  • Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
  • The hotel is being renovated and we had trouble with the heater working.

“Due to the renovation of the hotel, our heater did not work efficiently, the hotel staff apologized and changed us to a two floor suit for our inconvenience. Hotel staff was very polite and friendly. Would stay there again.”
