• The bed/bedding.
• Rooms are relatively updated; halls, public space is not - dark, unattractive, worn.

“This was not the quality of hotel I would expect for 3 stars, even though there were doormen, etc. It appears that the hotel is undergoing renovations, and my room appeared mostly updated, so I hope it improves. There isn't much near the hotel, and the airport is a drive (20 min). The halls are dark and worn.”

• The van driver made extra effort and drove me to the rental car place rather than make me wait 30 minutes for the next shuttle. His own initiative.
• It is a Holiday Inn in the process of being renovated. Still a Holiday Inn. Not much social option at night--bar closes. Late room service minimal.

• Dark small room, shower handle broke, no hat water.

“I was disappointed in the Crowne Plaza. However, there was major renovation taking place that will help. The people were all nice.”

“This hotel is in transition from Holiday Inn to Crowne Plaza. Lobby under construction. Most of room was renovated; but, some parts not (old HVAC unit was loud, filthy air intake in room, nasty hotel info book, etc.).”

• Lack of continental breakfast, park & shuttle airport services were expensive.

“The only perk of the hotel was the location in relation to the airport. There was no continental breakfast nor was there parking available at a reasonable price.”

• Undergoing renovations while I was there.

“My experience should not be typical--the hotel was undergoing renovations while I was there. It was a good option near the airport, and I needed to catch an early morning flight.”

• Convenient to airport and on the way in to the city of Denver.
• Lobby and parking lot was under construction.

“When the lobby and parking lot construction is finished this will be a nice hotel. The room was adequate, the bed and linens quite comfortable, but the view of the loading dock was less than appealing. It was fine for a place to sleep on our way to other places.”

• Parking lot under construction; old hotel; antiquated AC didn't work; tear it down.

“This is a very old, run down hotel which has supposedly recently undergone renovation. While it is apparent they attempted a renovation, they failed. The AC system is antiquated and ineffectual. The bed linens are sub standard and uncomfortable. The rooms are dark and unwelcoming. The parking lot is under construction and resembles a war zone. The lobby looks old, shabby, and terribly out of date. This hotel was supposedly a 3 star property. I would be hard pressed to give it one star.”

• Close to airport.
• Work zone.

“This hotel is undergoing renovations that don't seem to be very well planned. The usable entrances are not marked, there was no way to drive to the door without going over construction materials, inside the hotel the phones were affected by the construction. I recommend that they either shut down and do it quickly and well, or do it more thoughtfully with less interruption to their operations.”

• The rooms were pretty nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful!
• The floor was slanted so we were very dizzy!

“This is a pretty nice hotel, but was under construction so it is inconvenient to get around. I heard that it is a remodeled Holiday Inn. There is a strange smell in the hallways and rooms, but I think it was from the construction. The worst part was that the floors were slanted. We walked downhill when we moved from the window to the bed. This made me very dizzy!”

“This hotel is not a 3 star hotel. If I had not seen the Crowne Plaza name I would have thought this was an economy hotel. The room carpet had fabric strands hanging out. The bed looked great with new pillows and comforter but was hard as a rock. They put a fancy shower curtain on a tub that looked like it was 50 years old. The iron and board looked like it was from a yard sale. I had asked for a wake up call at 5:30 a.m. and it came at 4:30 a.m. I guess I expected a lot more from a 3 star hotel. By the way the outside is under construction and the enterance is difficult to find and very dusty and dirty.”
