“This was an excellent place to stay. The room was very functional (mini-suite), the room was both clean and quiet, and it had a 46" TV. When traveling a good bed makes the difference and I was very comfortable at this hotel.”

was very friendly and accommodating. It was close to good shopping and the light rail to take you downtown.”

“The staff was incredibly friendly. They even opened the breakfast fifteen minutes early for us on Saturday so that we could get on the road. The room was very large and the 42 inch HD TV was a treat. While the contenental breakfast was modest, it was served on real china. This was the best experience we have ever had with any hotel!”

“Despite not having a hot tub, I would stay in this hotel for business travel, maybe not when traveling with my children.”

“I've stayed here twice because the room is so nice and comfortable. I seems like it should be rated higher than a 2 1/2 star. The breakfast is perfect for light eaters and the Starbucks coffee is a plus. As for the staff, they're not very friendly and don't really want to be bothered. It would be a better place to stay if the staff would smile and make the guests feel welcomed. You'll hardly ever see them smile when they finally acknowledge you. Other than the staff, the hotel is very nice.”

“The lobby is modern and inviting. Room is plenty large enough for moderate business meetings or entertaining. Night staff was very accommodating and allowed me to park my motorcycle in front of the building where it was well lit. Was highly disappointed with the restroom plumbing. Both the toilet and the tub drained very slowly (water was well above my ankle after a brief shower). I informed the morning desk staff of this and they were polite and thanked me for telling them of the problem although offered no compensation. Continental breakfast was average.”

“I booked two rooms 2-3 weeks in advance. One room for myself, my husband, and our youngest daughter. The other room for our 16 year old daughter and three of her friends. We were celebrating her birthday. When I called to confirm the rooms and to make sure that they were adjoining (because we are responsible adults), the booking specialist at the hotel said to me it's a good thing that you didn't tell us you were booking the rooms for a 16-year-olds party, because we never would have allowed you to book the rooms. I was shocked! Upon checking in, my husband and I spoke to the manager who tells us that the Hyatt Place would like to cater more to the business traveler and doesn't want these other types of groups to be there. What? In another breath and for our information, she continues to tell us that they have booked a couple of youth sports teams that were staying there as well. One group on our floor. As I left the room once to get water that evening, I stepped over kids sitting on the floor in the hallway goofing around. And I found the other group by error as the elevator stopped on their floor, which was extremely loud. The next morning, breakfast was a mess with no place to sit and large groups of senior citizens, families with kids, etc. We sat with our breakfast in our lap. We didn't see anyone fitting the description of business traveler. I felt badly that I had lectured these young ladies to be on their best behavior and they were probably the most quiet and polite of any one there that morning! The hotel is very pretty, the rooms were spectacular, but I'm very disappointed in the management and their choice of discriminating against particular groups.”

“The rooms were so big that my family could spread out and not bother each other. My children want to move in with the large flat screen TV.”
