“Terrible experience at this hotel including a trip to the emergency room. Woke up in the middle of the night, feeling like my skin was crawling off & had itchy red bumps all over my body. After 3 hours in the emergency room, I was diagnosed with contact Dermatitis from the new detergent they had washed my sheets in. After first promising to compensate me for my hospital trip, etc., the hotel has now refused to do anything.”

“The hotel was nice in appearance. Desk staff was friendly, but other staff couldn't speak English. The train tracks run very close to the south side of the hotel, which is where our room was located. Train goes by several times a night (early AM), and blows the horn several times each time. Will not stay here anymore.”

“In the wee hours of my 4th night, I woke up with a terrible feeling like my skin was crawling off my body. I got up and looked in the mirror and discovered that I had red bumps all over my body! I heard people stirring in the hallway. I exited my room and came in contact with the Head of Housekeeping. She looked at the red bumps all over me and said "oh my goodness". She told me it could be bed bugs or that it could be a new kind of detergent that they had washed my sheets in. I was later visited by the hotel manager, apologized and stated that he would call in a pest company immediately to search for bed bugs. He suggested that I go to the ER as soon as possible and said "not to worry, the hotel will take care of everything." During the day, I received a call saying that the pest control company had not found bed bugs so he suspected the problem was in fact a new detergent that housekeeping had tried out. I spent 3 hours in the ER to eventually be diagnosed with contact dermatitis. The dermatitis had taken a strong hold and I was in for a miserable remainder of my stay. I was also in for a miserable two day drive back to Northern California. On two different occasions, in front of several witnesses, hotel manager admitted it was the hotel's fault and reassured me that the hotel would take care of me. I also allowed him to take pictures of the skin damage. The day before my departure, manager told me that he would meet with me the following morning and that he had already filed a claim with their insurance company on my behalf. When I went to meet with him the morning of my departure, I was told he was unavailable and that his message to me was have a safe trip home and don't worry, everything is being taken care of. When I returned home, it was necessary to follow up with a Dermatology Specialist who confirmed the problem was contact dermatitis. I received an injection and another prescription. On my second visit, the problem had finally subsided. I again contacted the hotel manager who totally changed his tune, basically saying this was no fault of the hotel and they were not liable in any way! I eventually received a message from an insurance rep in So Cal. Since I was on the road again, I asked my wife to return the call. My wife eventually had to hang up on the person who was extremely rude and disrespectful in what she felt was an obvious attempt to discourage us from seeking any compensation. I then reached out to the general manager who asked that I submit my expenses and settlement claim when I completed my treatment. I respectfully requested a fair settlement to reimburse for my medical expenses, pain and suffering, and the pure inconvenience this had caused me. I thought he was a man of reason and would consider the above. Yet, even after doing everything he asked, he wouldn't even call me to negotiate the matter. Instead, he had yet another very rude insurance rep contact me, telling me not to contact the hotel. I supplied them with medical receipts and diagnosis reports from the doctors, to which they replied that it was my problem if I had sensitive skin! For the record, I don't have sensitive skin and have stayed in hundreds of hotels without a problem. Therefore, with the hotel management not taking any responsibility for this whatsoever, I have no other recourse but to post my experience on the web to warn other travelers of this hotel.”

“It was decent. I have stayed at Holiday Inns that were similar but actually nicer. There was no microwave and we stayed for 4 days but had no way to warm our leftovers or late night snacks.”

“Facility was filthy, very loud, not in a good part of Denver, dogs barked all night, awful hotel, AC/heater did not work, far from a 3 star hotel. I have stayed in Super 8's that were a lot cleaner and nicer. Were there for 4 nights and they did not change the sheets even though we requested to have them changed. We marked the bottom of the sheet with eyeliner and all they did was make the bed to make it appear they changed the sheets.”

“This hotel must have paper thin walls and there was noise in the hallway all night long. We finally called the desk at 2AM to complain. The noise was down for a few minutes. This hotel had a convention going on and it sounded like a party in our hallway the entire night, miserable.”

“This hotel was not a three star hotel. The loby looked great, but the beds were uncomfortable, the room smelled like mold or mildew, and was very stuffy. The resturaunt was just ok with not very good quality of food for the price, but what I expect from a hotel kitchen. I rated this hotel a two star, but that was being generous. I have stated at Super 8 motels that were nicer than this.”
