• Location and feeling of safety.
• It did not feel like a 3 star hotel. Seemed like there was a lack of effort.

“The overall feel of the room was great. The room was missing Toiletries when we arrived, and they had no extra pillows available for our children. The location is great if you want to visit downtown and sporting venues. The staff is very friendly, but the front desk appeared to be understaffed. I would stay again, but I would want a lower price.”

• The front desk was nice.
• They did not pick up 3 groups of people up at the baseball game for 45-60 minutes after they were called.

“I did not know I was staying in a dog kennel. People were bringing in their pets and the hallways had a bad odor.”

“The window in our room, on the 3rd floor, opened easily with no barrier to prevent a child from falling or climbing out onto the ledge. The mattress on one of the beds had a large sinking hole in it. The entire motel and restaurant had a bad smell. The salad bar had a very limited selection with no tomatoes, shredded cheese, etc. The fruit on the food bar had gnats swarming around it. Breakfast was very disorganized and understaffed. The cereal dispenser was broken and the milk was warm.”

• It had a pool.
• We asked for towels twice and never received them. They sent us to a dirty room when we first got there that had not been cleaned.

“We were very displeased with the location because we asked specifically for downtown Denver and we were far from downtown.”

• I liked the complimentary hot breakfast.
• Reservations were not at the hotel when we arrived.

“We found the hotel to be extremely dysfunctional. No ice on designated floors, no pop in machines on our floor, elevators were very slow.”

• Warm swimming pool.
• Unhelpful staff, generally unclean, SLOW elevators, and poor tasting breakfast.

“The hotel is not as close to downtown as I would have hoped. Although it is located near two major freeways, there is not an easy way to access the freeway from the hotel. It is also located in a rather unappealing part of town. The hotel staff was rather friendly but very unhelpful. Although I was told that the hotel was recently remodeled, my room had some updating but was far from totally remodeled. My room was also somewhat dirty. The hotel elevators were extremely slow and unreliable. The hotel offered a free breakfast buffet but I would suggest you skip it and go to the Village Inn next door. The breakfast was very poor tasting.”

“The hotel was unclean, in disrepair, serious communication problems with staff that do not speak English, smelled & on-line directions we re a joke. I may as well have stayed at a Motel 6. What a waste. Worst experience I have had.”

• Hotel was very dirty.

“This hotel was disgustingly filthy. The linens were so threadbare and worn out. And, I guess it was coincidence that we showed up on the one day that the hotel had a shortage of towels. And the ones we did have, were as worn out as the linens. The carpet was disgusting. And we woke up the next morning and found little black bugs crawling all over the beds. The hotel offered a free breakfast that they served in a room that smelled suspiciously like an ashtray. We could not wait to get back on the road and leave this hotel behind us. If you are staying in Denver, please do yourself a favor and avoid this Best Western.”

• Jennifer at the front desk was nice.
• My room was not cleaned for the first 2 days.

“Do not stay at this hotel! Although they say this is in Downtown Denver, it is actually a 15-minute drive from downtown with limited freeway access. Also, they had the dates for my reservation incorrect. When I did get checked in, they put me in a room that reeked of cigarette smoke, despite my request for a non-smoking room. Then, my room was not cleaned until the night of the third day of my 5 day stay (after several requests to have the room cleaned). This was one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had. ”

• The staff was very nice, rooms were clean.
• Pool wasn't really heated!

• I can't in 20 words or less.

“The 1st room I was put in, was not made up from the previous guest. The 2nd room, the drape cord came off in my hand when I tried to open the drapes. The 3rd room, the shower curtain came crashing down on me when I pulled open the curtain. I told the front desk @ 9:00 am. When I returned @ 7:00 pm the shower curtain was still on the floor and my room had not been made up. Their only solution was to move me to another room @ 8:00 pm. I know 'ya pay your money & ya take your chances' when using your service, but you might consider removing this property. Sincerely, John F. Blythe”

• Jennifer, the front desk worker.
• The front desk clerk named Renee, she was very unfriendly acted like she didn't want to help.

“There was only on e front desk clerk that helped and was nice and that was Jennifer. Rene the other front desk clerk was very unfriendly, we didn't get room serviced we had to go to the front desk to get towels and she was like I have to go to the 10th floor and we could see towels under the counter. There were cops there when got there, the people across the hall from us was doing drugs and they did nothing about it.”

“Caters to the out of town foot ball crowd coming to see the Broncos. Difficulty access to downtown and somewhat removed. Warehousing area in poorer ethnic neighborhood. Not unsafe but not particularly pleasant location. ”

• Wasn't easy access off the highway and wasn't the cleanest I expected.

“The location was very close to downtown Denver once we got on the major highway. However, when staying in the Denver area again I probably will not choose this same hotel.”

• The shuttle service was the only positive feature though it was slow and overcrowded.
• Location was dirty, unkempt, lack of efficiency, understaffed, smoke.

“This hotel was approx. 8 miles from downtown. It was dirty, understaffed, the bedroom which was supposed to be non-smoking smelled like smoke. The lobby which had a no smoking sign had cigarette smoke in it. They did not make up the room or provide new towels, etc the first day. It was horrible. I was extremely dissatisfied.”
