“The original room was very very nice. I was surprised at the cleanliness, comfort of the bed, layout. The next morning when I realized I had been placed in a smoking room in spite of calling ahead for a non-smoking room and asking again when I checked in, I was moved downstairs to a room that was adequate. Unfortunately, being on the ground floor was bad in many other ways--none of which the motel had much control over. However, the second room seemed to not have been renovated as recently, the beds were older, etc. It was nice and about the quality I had expected originally. The staff was mostly very nice and the lobby and breakfast areas were clean and inviting.”

“There was quite a bit of noise from trains and not sure what else but seemed to stop by midnight. I had to ask the lady that was checking me into the room to put her call on hold after 20 minutes of waiting while she was talking to her friend about Thanksgiving plans and stuff she needed to buy.”

“Our room was clean and within walking distance to Coors Field, which is what we wanted. Wear walking shoes, though, because it is not right next door. All of the staff was friendly, and when we called to say that we had left something in the closet, they sent it to us. We didn't take advantage of the swimming pool or the free breakfast, but they were both available. It is nothing fancy, but it met our needs quite nicely.”

“The hotel was very convenient to Downtown and was clean. Much cleaner than others I have stayed in downtown. The two downsides were the walls were very thin, we could hear our neighbors talking and it's very close to the Train Depot.”

“This hotel was cleaner than the Sheraton that I just stayed in. The beds were really comfortable, so no complaints there. Others had complained of the railway noise, but it doesn't go all night, so it wasn't really that bad.”

“This hotel is located between a large rail yard and two raised freeways. At the time of writing a new small retail mall was opening which offered a Starbucks and a Dominoes Pizza but other than this and the gas station there are no facilities locally. The nearest bars and restaurants are just over a mile away, past the Coors baseball field. The hotel itself is average of the type. It looks a little tired which paint flaking off the stairs and some outside walls. The pool, which is not in a nice location, looked cloudy, and was never in use. Other than that it was fairly clean. The room was again average. Everything worked as it should and it was clean. I would recommend this hotel to business travelers who want to be within a short cab ride (6 miles) of downtown, and are on a budget, or to baseball fans but not to couples or families mainly because of its inconvenient location and average condition.”

“This hotel is in a great easy location to get to interstates, and to downtown Denver. Very clean and in nice area. I will go back there next time returning to Denver.”

“We chose the La Quinta, because of its proximity to Coors Field. We had a little difficulty locating it. But once we were there, it worked great for us to be able to walk to the games. The hotel staff was very efficient and courteous. The water temperature in the pool was perfect, but the pool water was dirty. The room had obvious signs of wear and tear, that need to be corrected. Overall, it was okay.”

“Hotel is next to active train yard. Noise was loud all night: brakes, docking cars, loading and unloading, etc. Although the hotel staff was friendly and breakfast was good, the location negated any positive. Would not recommend unless you are a very sound sleeper!”

“I chose this inn for its proximity to Amtrak Union Station for an overnight layover between train connections. The room was more capacious and of higher quality than I expected or required. It is well located for downtown Denver access, including Coors Field (Rockies). There is a bus stop across the street, which presumably goes downtown.”

“Overall good value hotel. I choose this hotel due to proximity to my downtown Denver meeting. I was told it was close to Coors Field and a lot of hotel patrons will walk to the stadium from the hotel. My meeting was 6 blocks from the stadium and I choose to walk to the hotel with my rolling luggage. I called and received directions. The Desk Clerk gave me inaccurate directions and was unable to locate the hotel after walking with luggage in tow for over 2 miles. I called again and was given another set of vague directions. After walking back to the stadium I asked a local where the La Quinta was and he directed approximately another mile away. I gave up walking and had to wait 30 minutes for a taxi. The hotel was nowhere close to where I was told.”

“Hotel was ok value for the money. It was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Exterior of hotel is run down and it is next to railroad switching terminal which went on all night.”

“Good for the price that I paid, but the nights were restless due to the noise from the train station and highway being real close by. The staff was professional and helped with directions around town.”
