  • Friendly staff.
  • Very cheap Motel 6 like.

“Room was very small, had to go up three flights of stairs to room. No elevators or bellhop to help with luggage. Fixtures old, bed was hard. Barely gets 1 star.”

“This hotel was perfect! Great location in Winter Park!”

Overall Rating: 3 Overall user rating
Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[4] • Location:[6]

  • The hotel was located close to the mountain, so it was a convenient location.
  • The room was not very clean, nor was the common areas, and the staff was not likely to go any bit out of their way to help a customer.

“This hotel would not suit those who are not interested in a comfortable, clean room with a quality bed; nor would it suit people who expect any sort of cheerful service. The best I can say for the winter park mountain lodge is that the breakfast buffet was quality and the food servers were cheerful and accommodating. The mountain, skiing, and snowmobiling were top-notch, and the scenery was breathtaking.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[9]

  • Nothing.
  • Dirty blankets, foul smell, horrible food.

“Called to reconfirm 7 days before arrival and told by hotel no booking for Dec 22 but they had a cancelled booking for Dec 7 under my name. After much back and forth finally had my reservation for the 22nd, however, hotel billed a no show for Dec 7. The hotel itself was disgusting. The blankets were dirty and there was a foul sour smell everywhere. We forfeited our last night and went home early as we couldn't stand another night in that room. It took a long shower to get that sour hotel smell out of my hair and off my skin. The breakfast buffet was also very bad. I don't think they used real eggs and the hash browns tasted like they were fried in rancid grease.”

“First of all these reviews are all true. At our arrival to the hotel our room wasn't ready. It took them over an hour past check in time to notify us that the room was ready. Once in our room we were very disappointed and found it very confusing to even find the room which we had to take 2 elevators and a flight of stairs to find. I would never stay in this place again even if it was free I guess ill leave you with the reviews are all true, this place is horrible!”

Cleanliness:[1] • Staff:[3] • Location:[9]

  • It was close to the mountain so I didn't have to drive or find parking.
  • There was dog hair and dog food everywhere, the water in the shower didn't work properly.

“Great location. Could be a nice hotel if it was clean and some maintenance done. Didn't sleep that well either.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • The hotel was very close to winter park, and very affordable.
  • The interior could use some updating.

“This is a very good hotel for the money that was spent. I expected a lot less. Very good value.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[3] • Location:[8]

  • New (but not well kept).

“We only saw 1 person on the staff and she was always on the phone and made us wait a long time. I only needed 1 room and was unable to cancel the 2nd room. I asked what the standard rate was with no reservations & it was 3 dollars cheaper.”

  • Comfortable bed.
  • Reception staff.

“The hotel was fine. At check in, the front desk Person was busy online and did not notice me. I had to get her attention after a couple of minutes. Other than that, it was fine.”

  • The room was nice and comfortable.
  • Finding a room for us after the 3rd time.

“Upon arrival we played musical rooms until they found a room that was clean. The housekeeping staff was very attentive and the front desk staff was great. The suite we finally settled into was very nice.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[6] • Location:[6]

  • Not much, except price.
  • The window was open and wouldn't shut, the tub was gross, light broke and door wouldn't shut.

“I was disappointed in the bathroom being filthy. The shower curtain was dirty from the bottom up about 3 inches, and the drain overflow had hair all hanging out of it. It was said to be the newest resort hotel, and there were 4 major items in the room that didn't work (window, door, remote, and the light had a short.) We have stayed in extend stay hotels, and they are classed lower and they are much cleaner and nicer.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Brewery and Restaurant are excellent, Two Hot Tubs plus the swimming pool are extra nice, and location to Winter Park Ski Resort is just across the street.
  • Late night staff is not helpful at all, tried to get extra pillows and were not able to.

“The hotel has a parking garage, but it only has about 10 spaces which are usually taken. I like that location and amenities. I've stayed in this hotel three other times, and I've never seen a dirty room or hotel area while being at the Mountain Lodge.”

  • Brewery good.
  • The Jacuzzi is a health hazard. Breakfast bit rubbish.

“Upon arrival at the womb I was under whelmed by the overall cleanliness a\nod state of repair of the hotel. I warmed to the hotel slightly after a few days and in the end felt that it was what was to be expected for the money that I paid and upgraded to a type b room which was newer and bigger than those in the old part of the hotel (of which I heard numerous complaints).my biggest gripe is to do with the Jacuzzi and pool area. For a hotel of 200+ guest¿s capacity not to have any compulsory shower area before guests use the Jacuzzi and pool is disgusting. I have a PhD in the biosciences and armed with this knowledge refused to use the Jacuzzi - one of the hotels selling points upon booking. To bathe in what amounted to "skin soup" bubbling away in the Jacuzzi could be hazardous to your health and I would recommend others stay clear in the future. Guest after guest washing their sweat from skiing off in these waters must lead to some very foul bacteria thriving in the 35 degree broth.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[6] • Location:[9]

  • Closeness to ski resort.
  • Room we were in is old and not up to par.

“This is inconvenient especially if you are there during ski season and have equipment to carry.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Employees work hard to accommodate their guests.
  • It's a maze. Elevator was very slow.

“It is very convenient to the slopes. The staff is friendly and made strong effort for guests. The food in the restaurant was good (a little pricey) and one can have an enjoyable evening without having to leave the hotel.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Great view of the ski mountains.
  • Bathroom was not the cleanest and hot tub/pool area was old.

“Overall this was a great stay, but for the price they charge for rooms I would have expected a bit more upscale. The room was standard, but a little outdated. It did however have a great view. The bathroom floor was a little dirty. Staff was accommodating and it was great being so close to the slopes.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[8] • Location:[10]

  • The staff really did try to help fix the situation.
  • The rooms need updating.

“The location of this hotel is excellent. It is right across the street from skiing and on the bus route. The only thing is it does not offer a free breakfast and we had problems with the rooms. The first one smelled like a bar, the second one was not ready when we walked in, and the final room did not have a working heater. The management did give us space heater and the room had a better view though. The only other problem was the facilities. The indoor pool was too cold to swim in and both hot tubs were not working.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Location is close to winter park ski resort.
  • A large proportion of the hotel is an older building hidden behind the renovated front side.

“The hotel is in a good location if you are skiing in winter park. It is across the highway, but it has nice views and a free shuttle to the ski resort. I do not recommend the hotel's restaurant, as the food is bad and rather pricey. It also reminded me of a cafeteria (no atmosphere). The staff was very friendly, and they moved us from a room in the "old hotel" to the renovated part (which I highly recommend as the old portion is run down) overall, we had a nice stay and I would recommend it for the price.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[5] • Location:[9]

  • Very close to winter park skiing.
  • Small inefficient heater in the room.

“The new part of the hotel looked nice, but the old part in the back, where we stayed, was not very nice. No hot water one night and a small little heater that did not even have a thermostat control. The shower head was entirely too low for a normal size adult. Also the hallways between the new part and the old part of the hotel are very confusing and there are no signs to help. The fact that we where so close to winter park skiing was the only redeeming quality.”
