“To park at $16 per night; $10 per day fee for hotel services (newspaper, WiFi, internet, etc). Access to outdoor pool through bar area.”

  • Good location, nice southwest room decor.
  • Extra charge for pool, fitness center, newspaper, WiFi, even if not used.

“Overall, the Inn at Loreto is a nice place to stay, convenient to the Plaza. Rooms are in good shape, clean, although the bathroom is a bit dated. Thought the hotel services fee was unnecessary, why not just include WiFi, fitness center, etc in the cost of the hotel, rather than charging even if you don't use any of them. Restaurant we found to be good, but a bit high priced for breakfast, but you'll pay that at all the nicer hotels in Santa Fe. Overall, a good value.”

“Besides being near the airport it was an easy access to the city - convenient yes but nice as well.”

  • Location to Santa Fe Plaza.
  • Room size and amenities did not meet expectations.

“An excellent location relative the Santa Fe Plaza. Attractive architecture, lobby, shops and restaurants. However, the size and amenities of room were below our expectations. Room did not have a balcony or sitting area as expected. We were on our honeymoon and were very disappointed.”

“I have stayed in many of the upscale hotels in Santa Fe, and this one was my favorite.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • The bed and pillows are heaven.
  • It is hectic pulling into the hotel driveway due to busy streets and small entry.

“After circling the blocks a couple of times, we finally figured out where to pull into the hotel. The valet attendants were very sluggish to greet us, but the front desk attendants were wonderful and very helpful. Our room was on the small side but nice and efficient for our needs. The beds were heaven; the mattress, pillows and comforter were down. My husband and I agreed it was the best nights sleep we ever had.”

“Fabulous location but bad service at the reception, with the valet service and at the restaurant. Not helpful, very feisty and inefficient.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[7] • Location:[10]

  • Great location. Nice enough.
  • Rooms had no balcony, had too move rooms. Staff had to be reminded of situations/ requests.

“Great location within walking distance of all Santee Fe activities. The hotel looks good and in general was a pleasant experience. I had too complained on two separate occasions and be quite forceful too get attention. My calls were not returned by the front desk, I had too followed up and pursue them. The staff was moderately attentive and I felt inexperienced/poorly trained/cold.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[5] • Location:[10]

  • We liked the location.
  • Unfriendly staff. Boring atmosphere!

“Great location but not good for kids. Bartender was a robotron; pool was cold and no hot tub. Elevator music piped everywhere but so low that it was only annoying. Comforters on the bed sounded like crinkling paper bags every time someone move and the noise kept us up all night. Breakfast was only meal we ate there and it was so-so. Tea more expensive than coffee! The hotel was, in a word, boring!”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • The location is fantastic and the restaurant far exceeded my expectations.
  • Nothing to report.

“The location is perfect. You are literally steps away from amazing art galleries. The square is one block away. The spa was nice, if not a little pricey, but worth it none-the-less. The hotel restaurant was amazing. I thought it would be good, but it far exceeded my expectations! This was our first stay at the Loretta but it will not be the last!”

  • Its location.
  • Its fees for parking $26/day.

“The hotel is uniquely south-western, very convenient for the town, and great local restaurants and sights. Its a nice change from the chains. The hotel has some pricey elements - the restaurant was and parking are extreme - but there are plenty of convenient outside of hotel alternatives for both. The local restaurants are fantastic - I'd recommend the Pink Adobe for special occasion - or Guadalajara Cafe for a casual dining experience - both are within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel and town are a great option for a short romantic getaway weekend.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[10]

  • It was fine, but nothing special. Certainly not luxury or deluxe.

“Good location. Beautiful on the outside, not so much on the inside. The newly decorated room was dreary with rust walls, dark carpeting and furniture. The hallways were painted black! It was fine for the price.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[9] • Location:[10]

  • The hotel was attractive and in an excellent location.
  • In addition to parking there was a $10 a day "restocking fee" which was later described as a "services fee," but which was not optional.

“This is a charming hotel near the center square of old Santa Fe. The staff is eager to help, but they are under major construction and redecorating which gives them little flexibility in dealing with room problems.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • Responsive and friendly staff.
  • Renovation/construction noise outside room. Window covered with tarp. Outside side door unlocked after dark.

“Location very near plaza and professional staff. We had a 4 months old puppy - we had to pay an additional 20 USD per night but that was fine. Many hotels will not allow pats.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • Staff extraordinarily friendly. Excellent mattress.
  • Cramped room for this price level. Bad lighting.

“Although warned about this, we were appalled about the additional $10 per day for "maid service; spa and other incidentals" (the spa services would have been additional, anyway). Excellent location, terrific staff, very comfortable mattresses. Cramped room; badly designed lighting. Cost (even for Santa Fe) outrageous. Also $16 per day extra for (convenient) Valet parking. All in all, a good experience, but overpriced.”
