  • Excellent restaurant and wait staff.
  • Poor bar and associated staff.

“Excluding the bar and staff, the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. Location is nearly perfect and the public features of the hotel are thoughtfully placed and of high quality.”

  • The location was perfect, and everything was within walking distance.
  • $18 valet parking.

“Great room with wonderful bed, very quite hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Nice bathroom with two sinks, robes and slippers. Wonderful covered patio which allowed us to sit outside even in the rain.”

  • Great location.
  • Hidden service charges destroy the concept.

“Nice for a remodeled hotel. Rooms kind of dark. Great location. $18 a day parking
and $12 a day Service charge. I understand the parking charge. It's in the middle of town and you don't need to bring a car. But the service charge destroys the concept. What's the sense of blind bidding for a hotel with hidden charges?”

  • location.
  • Additional service fee plus additional parking fee. It's like a surprise increase in price 20% once you arrive.

  • Very convenient location. Walking distance to old Santa Fe.

“Valet parking is your only choice.”

  • Lighting was awful. $16.00 charge for parking when across the square at a nicer hotel; no charge for parking.

“I wasn't impressed. People nice but room ordinary. Lighting terrible. No vanity mirror in bathroom. Unable to get hot water in sink. Not much hot water in bath. I usually stay a block away at a place with lots of amenities. Free parking, breakfast included, extremely well-appointed rooms.”

  • Location was excellent.
  • The room had a funky odor. With no windows.

“In an effort to mimick the pueblo style of architecture, the rooms have no windows. Albeit, there is access to a semi-private balcony through a a very narrow French door. Furthermore, the rooms are painted dark colors (deep brick red with black highlights). This looks artistic, but the overall effect is to make the interior of room feel seriously claustrophobic, like a fancy jail cell. For a 4-star hotel the rooms are relatively small. As a consequence we could not wait to get out of the room each day.”

  • Good location, nice southwest room decor.
  • Extra charge for pool, fitness center, newspaper, WiFi, even if not used.

“Overall, the Inn at Loreto is a nice place to stay, convenient to the Plaza. Rooms are in good shape, clean, although the bathroom is a bit dated. Thought the hotel services fee was unnecessary, why not just include WiFi, fitness center, etc in the cost of the hotel, rather than charging even if you don't use any of them. Restaurant we found to be good, but a bit high priced for breakfast, but you'll pay that at all the nicer hotels in Santa Fe. Overall, a good value.”

  • Location to Santa Fe Plaza.
  • Room size and amenities did not meet expectations.

“An excellent location relative the Santa Fe Plaza. Attractive architecture, lobby, shops and restaurants. However, the size and amenities of room were below our expectations. Room did not have a balcony or sitting area as expected. We were on our honeymoon and were very disappointed.”

  • The bed and pillows are heaven.
  • It is hectic pulling into the hotel driveway due to busy streets and small entry.

“After circling the blocks a couple of times, we finally figured out where to pull into the hotel. The valet attendants were very sluggish to greet us, but the front desk attendants were wonderful and very helpful. Our room was on the small side but nice and efficient for our needs. The beds were heaven; the mattress, pillows and comforter were down. My husband and I agreed it was the best nights sleep we ever had.”
