“Old, established and well located. A block from main attractions. Great, fresh cooked breakfast buffet with welcoming staff. Free parking is hard to use for larger vehicles in most spots.”

“The hotel staff is exceedingly polite. The free breakfast was a full, hot buffet of local cuisine. The restaurant is excellent and a favorite of local residents. The pool was warm and clean. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable with extra pillows and blankets already there. I am staying here the next time we come.”

“This was a wonderful hotel and a great retreat from the bustle of downtown Sante Fe. The afternoon tea-sherry was a joy. The breakfast was typical New Mexican and delicious. The dining areas lovely. I would go back here anytime.”

“This hotel reflects Santa Fe and its unique decor and certainly in hospitality. The location is perfect for walking to the plaza. All the flowers along the corridor give a special touch. We go to Santa Fe often, but this is our first time at the Inn. We will be back.”

“I really liked the hotel. I didn't like the room though. I was given a room in a dark hallway with the window facing the ice machine and the maids closet. Throughout the day their was constant traffic to the maid's closet or to the ice machine. It was hard to actually enjoy the room and feel at peace.”

“Great location. Friendly staff. Excellent buffet. This hotel was fitting of Santa Fe - not a typical hotel but met our needs in every way. The hotel linens and towels are of excellent quality. The rooms are a bit smaller but cozy. The fireplace in the room was very fun to use but did make for a wood smoke smell in the room.”

“It was beautifully decorated in the southwest style with Indian rugs on the wall, rustic furniture, southwest lamps and accessories. The restaurant breakfast buffet was wonderful - the best we've ever had that was included with the room.”

“If you drive a small car, the Inn of the Governors has to be one of the best choices in Santa Fe. We were surprised at the high quality of the food and reasonable prices at the restaurant. We dined in a covered patio and enjoyed the crackling fires in the chiminea style fireplaces. However, given that the hotel serves a complimentary breakfast every morning that includes, strawberries, an array of baked rolls, two types of scrambled eggs, hot meat, various fresh fruit (incl. strawberries) and waffles, and also had an afternoon tea and sherry, with cookies; one hardly had to eat any other meals. Our room at the IOTG was somewhat small for a two double bed room, but it was decorated in a wonderfully Santa fe theme with period furniture, pottery, textiles, and a period wooden double door to the bath. The hotel is ideally situated just steps away from the main plaza, shops, restaurants, museums, and tourists sites. The conscierge had information about all of sites at his desk in the lobby. The parking at the hotel is difficult if you have an SUV or full sedan. Even though it snowed one morning, the hotel pool was steaming and inviting. If you stay at the IOTG you will definitely increase your enjoyment of a stay in Santa Fe.”
