  • loved the hot tub and recreation room
  • nothing

“On the outside, this hotel doesn't look appealing but after checking in and looking around at the grounds, it was very nice. The kids really enjoyed the pool , hot tub and recreation room, with a pin pong table and computer in it.”

  • Not much.
  • Not a hotel, its a nice motel.

“You enter your room like a motel from the outside. There were hairs and dust all over my sheets on the bed. Ask for new bedsheets and they never came around. No central air. AC was loud and did not work properly. Its a decent motel.”

  • The pool area and the breakfast area were very pretty.

“The pool area and the breakfast area were very pretty. The ping pong table was well maintained and the room was attractively designed and decorated. The parking was convenient and the landscaping was very nice. A good value for the price.”

  • We loved the outstanding continental breakfasts.

“The Lamplighter in Santa Fe was an impressive and comfortable hotel, with beautiful gardens, great pool, large rec room and delicious breakfast. All three of us commented about the caring, considerate details offered by the owners and the safe-feeling rooms with rose gardens outside.”

  • Nice continental breakfast.
  • Rooms were a little dark.

“Beds weren't that comfortable and not the nicest surroundings or outward appearance, but other than that it was awesome.”

  • The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were very nicely landscaped.
  • The pool and hot tub were not as clean as I would have liked. The computer for Internet access in the room was broken for the 4 days we were there.

“Comfortable and clean room, though bed needed more pillows. The pool and hot tub needed to be cleaner. Nicely landscaped grounds. Food itself OK but pretty bland.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[8] • Location:[9]

  • Nicely decorated.
  • To small! No room to spend any time there plus there was no hairdryer nor any outlet for one.

“There was no hairdryer! There were no outlets in the bathroom and if you wanted to plug in the coffeepot you had to place the pot on the floor. The outlet was near the floor and there was no extension cord to leave the pot on the counter. The shower/bath top was very poorly installed. The sink was very cute painted but to small. We did not want to spend anytime in the room because there was no room. I was disappointed overall.”

  • Large room, EXTREMELY clean, fridge, toiletries, TV, A/C, OK breakfast, included, pool & hot tub. Good location and value.
  • Dated non-décor, Reception desk almost too laid back, but willing and pleasant..

“A good value for pricey Santa Fe, especially at super-crowded Indian Market time. Nicely spacious, very clean room with fridge and limited but useful toiletries; plenty of towels for room and pool, as well as blankets. In-room coffee & tea. Comfortable beds; feather pillows. Minimal contact with front desk, but pleasant. Breakfast was ok. Kashi was a plus, but there were no eggs, and no low- or non-fat options - a factor for older travelers. Nothing fancy, no esthetics, except some nice landscaping, but clean and perfectly adequate for a place to dress and sleep when in Santa Fe. A drive to the central Plaza, but not a long one, and on a main drag, so lots of restaurants and shopping up and down the street.”

  • Close to where I needed to be.
  • The pool was not clean, the breakfast room needs remodeling; was too close to the road & traffic noise.

“Located near shopping and restaurants. The pool had algae growing in it, so I couldn't swim.”

  • Very clean and well maintained.
  • High speed internet access - not!

“Dated but very well maintained rooms. very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is a step up from typical motel "continental", coffee is almost drinkable! be warned though if you need internet access it is only available at the "house computer" which is shared by all guests, lots of waiting!”
