“This hotel should be torn down as anticipated! I stayed here because it was cheap and close to Vail It is a dump, lower all expectations and you'll love it!”

  • One of the two beds had fresh, clean sheets.
  • We tried the other bed first.

“This place is the cheapest motel in vial for a good reason -- it's a dump! The staff was friendly, especially the maintenance guy who opened the valve on the radiator that the previous residents had shut down. He also cheerfully explained that the thermostat was wired backwards, so if we wanted the room warmer we should set it for cooler! It's not so much family friendly as it is ski bum friendly. It's the sort of place that I actively sought out during my college years, but tend to avoid now. Still, it's scheduled for demolition and replacement by something vial pricey and Iżm saddened by more evidence of the passing of an era and style of ski resort.”

  • Exterior decor.
  • The door to the room failed to shut completely.

“It looked okay from the outside and I expected little when I got inside. The floor in front of the sink squeaked and the door failed to close completely, even with the dead bolt latched. The latter resulted in a great deal of highway noise that began around 4 A.M. and increased throughout the morning resulting in a significant loss of sleep. The bed was harder than expected and the sheets could have thicker. The staff, however, was friendly and efficient.”

“My buddy and I arrived late to the hotel, excited to ski the next day. The room was 85 degrees (no exaggeration!) even though the thermostat was set at 65. The front desk said there was nothing they could do and we should open the windows. That didn't help.”
