• Clean, new and the beds were comfortable.

“Besides the renovation that is taking place at the Sheraton I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is located by 2 malls and one out door mall. It is also surrounded by allot of good restaurants.”

• Improved a lot from it's AmeriSuites days. And all non-smoking.
• My room adjacent the elevator had a loud hum from the equipment.

“Clean, with a pretty good free breakfast (and better for some cost) and a good exercise room. Rooms are up to date, with plasma TV and good furnishings. Quiet and does not stink of smoke or air freshener.”

• The room was well appointed and attractive.
• The hotel staff were rude and poorly informed about the city.

“The hotel staff gave me a very hard time about specifying that I would like a room with two double beds. They told me that they refused to help me but after that, we were given a room with two double beds. The room was quite attractive, and the location was convenient, but the experience with the hotel desk staff marred our experience. As a side observation, the hotel was not even particularly busy, and I did not see that many cars or other guests to make me suspect that rooms were in short supply.”

• The large, flat panel television in the room.
• The hotel was under construction. There was no wireless internet and the breakfast was lacking.

“I really enjoy Hyatt Place, the brand. They have great value. So when I saw that my bid for this hotel was accepted, I was excited. However, I ended up somewhat disappointed. This Hyatt Place had not yet finished its conversion from Amerisuites. They lobby was under construction and so the breakfast area was not yet complete. Consequently the breakfast was quite lacking. In addition, there was no wireless internet access. There was an Ethernet cable in the room, but the connection was rather slow. Also, only one of the two elevators was in operation which made for long waits. Maybe when this hotel has completed the transformation it will be up to Hyatt Place standards, but I would call ahead first to make sure.”

• Room clean, staff excellent.
• Remodeling, noisy, entrance was total disarray.

“I think once the remodeling is complete, it will be an excellent place to say. It is unfortunate that when reservations are made we are not told of remodeling.”

• Great staff, very friendly and accommodating.
• That were finishing up renovations but it will be worth it.

“We appreciated how convenient this hotel was to shopping, restaurants and movie theaters. It was an excellent location for our family. The staff was so great very friendly and cordial. We will definitely return!”

• The room was spacious and clean.
• We lost power for quite a bit of the morning and no water for showers/and under construction.

“Overall this hotel was nice, the staff extremely friendly and courteous.”

• The rooms we've fantastic.
• It's being remolded and it is a mess.

“When this hotel is done being remolded it will be very nice. Parking is horrible right now as well as the lobby, 1st 2 floors and the elevators. The rooms were fantastic, warm and comfortable and big. The location was also fantastic. It is right across the street from 2 malls. I would definitely stay there again. But I might wait until the remodel is done. The ETA for that is January '07.”

• The remodel is gorgeous.
• They gave away our guaranteed room & we had to move hotels.

“Our room was paid for & guaranteed & when we arrived, they had given it away. We had to travel to another location quite a ways away to get a room. They promised to refund our money, but we haven't confirmed that yet.”

• Great location in a very attractive area.
• Definitely has a need for better food service.

“Overall this was a very nice hotel located in an attractive area but still within a reasonable distance from the fair grounds. The room was very clean and well furnished. Our only complaint was that the dining area was much too small for the number of guests attempting to enjoy the breakfast buffet.”
