--This hotel is scheduled to open May 05, 2004, and will begin accepting reservations on or after that date. -- Located on Albuquerque's north side, The Hilton Garden Inn Albuquerque Journal Center is just minutes away from the Journal Center business district, as well as downtown. We are an easy 15 minute drive from Albuquerque International Airport. Major nearby corporations include, Northrup Grumman, Honeywell, Intel, and General Mills. Minutes away from nationally chained restaurants, as well as a variety of local favorites. Nearby attractions include Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Park, Sandia Peak Tramway, Sandia Casino, Cliffs Amusement Park, the Beach Waterpark and numerous golf courses.

The hotel features 94 well-appointed guestrooms and suites. Each guestroom includes a spacious work desk, two telephones (each with two lines), dataport, voicemail and high speed internet access. Wireless internet access is also available. The Hospitality Center in each guestroom features a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Iron, ironing board and hairdryers are also standard amenities.

Quiet and clean.
Desk staff marginal and employees tend to smoke outside a lot.

“A very clean and comfortable hotel. The lobby and sitting areas with fireplace and overstuffed chairs make for great group gatherings. The breakfast is some what limited but very good and the kitchen and bar staff are very accommodating. The site is in a pretty secure area with walking distance to the Cracker Barrel. I recommend this over either Marriott Courtyards and stay in this hotel at least twice a month for soccer tournaments and meetings.”

Great place to stay!
Fire system went off twice on Sunday morning. Had plan to sleep in.

“The hotel was great till Sunday morning. The fire system went off twice, had planned to sleep in that morning. The hotel could have and should have given us breakfast for the early wake up. We left the hotel early due to the fire alarm.”

New clean and quiet.
Odd sidestep off the interstate ramp to get to the HGI.

“It's now open and very much worth a visit.”
