“This is a decent 2 star hotel. The problem is that it's rated better. Carpets are old and dirty, elevators are slow and jerky, There are gaps around the doors to the hallway, It's just older and hasn't been updated.”

“Maintenance seems to be going downhill somewhat since I last stayed there. Room door handle loose, lavatory faucet difficult to control.”

“Old Holiday Inn that smelled musty, TV didn't work, carpeting old, bathrooms run down, needed remodeled, staff not friendly, shuttle service constantly preempted by southwest airline pilots/stewardesses without regard to who was first in line.”

“Drove 8 1/2 hours straight to get to the hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Upon arriving Austin at the front desk told us he had no room for us at that time; and to check back in about two hours, that check out time was at 12 noon. We did not realize we crossed a time zone. Time in New Mexico was 10:30 am. We had to drive around a town we had no clue to where we were. at 12 noon we found the hotel and went back in to see if by now they had a room for us. Austin at the front desk told us it would be another 30-45 minute wait. At 11:37am I went back up to the desk, and they finally had a room for us. We were in the room less then a hour when a fire alarm sounded advising us to evacuate the hotel by use of the stairs. We reached the stairs to find people coming back up saying they called an all clear. We called the front desk to find out what's happening the front desk was laughing about it. Later we found dirty socks left under the bed, multiple coffee packets and scraps of paper behind the dresser, that we picked up and threw away, and free TV programming that we wanted to watch was not available for our room. We spent one night in the hotel with check out at 12 noon and at 10 am we were awakened by the maid service banging on our door and using her key trying to enter our room. As a result we got up packed our things and checked out before check out time. Don't think I will ever stay at this hotel again.”

“I am a contractor in Las Crues NM and we have built motel 6 that are better than this place. The rooms were dirty and you could hear everyone outside the doors, the bathrooms were nasty. we checked-in and went into the room and walked back down to the lobby gave the keys back and left. I was very disappointed in this place, by far the worst place we have ever stayed at. The gentlemen at the front desk was very nice, but the rest of the place is a 0 in my book.”

“When we first drove up to the hotel there is a large statue of the ten commandments. Seemed slightly odd - as it wasn't listed as a religious hotel. The front seemed elegant, clean with nice staff. We got directions to the room and drove around to the back which was badly lit. I went inside with my five year old and as we entered the room a man was banging on the sliding glass door and trying to get in. I left with my daughter and went to tell my sister and her baby. She was locked in the truck telling me that a man had been trying to get her to leave the truck and "help" him. We asked to change rooms to an inside part of the hotel. The front desk did this with no problem but then I noticed that the most of the hotel was under major renovation and that many of the outside security doors didn't lock including our sliding glass door. It was late at night and our children had fallen asleep. We rigged the sliding glass door and made the best of it before our 5 am departure.”

“If I could have gotten a refund, I would have. As a female traveler, the shoddy sliding doors on the balcony made me feel vulnerable and were the final straw. The Hilton down the street, on the other hand, was lovely and clean.”

“At check in all the staff were concentrating their efforts on one customer needing a ride to the airport and I was left standing for quite some time before I was registered. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. I will stay there again when I visit.”

“The in room coffee maker was great and had plenty of coffee for more than one cup, if needed. The full breakfast was outstanding. I appreciated the free drink tickets to the lounge and used them. The bed was wonderful. I want to get myself one!”

“The hotel desk staffs were very professional and nice. The hotel room door was hard to shut had to pull hard to lock it. Room was not cleaned properly, found dirt bunnies between bed and night stand: also found dead bugs in bathroom, shower, and underside of bed. The outside hand rail for the deck was loose and deck was very dirty. The heater had the power cord wrapped with electrical tape so we never used it. The coffee pot threw sparks so staff gave us another the second night. Some spotting on comforter and sheets on first night. Chipped tile in the bathroom very narrow tubs. If I had not already made the arrangements I would have left the first night.”

“Room assigned to us was dirty, and by dirty I mean, never cleaned from the visitor's before us. When we asked to change we were hassled and old we'd have to pay additional fee's to move to another room. After moving to another room, we were awakened at 7:30 a.m. by room service who never even knocked. Just walked right in! Hotel staff was beyond the rudest staff I have ever come upon.”

“First of all, the room was gross; it felt like I was in a cockroach hotel. So I went to the desk and told them that I was not going to stay in that room. (With no attitude). The front desk clerk looked at me rolled her eyes, gave me big attitude and wanted to charge me to upgrade. I work at 4 star hotel and we would never, never give attitude to our guests. If our guests were not satisfied we would not charge them to upgrade if the room was not cleaned properly. She had no customer service! The breakfast was honestly the only thing that worked out okay.”
