  • The room was nicely decorated and modern.
  • The construction decreased the attractiveness of the exterior and some parts of the interior.

“We were pleasant with the appearance of the room we stayed in. It was modern, clean and appeared new. The lobby had a great Southwestern appeal; however the construction detracted from the overall ambience of the hotel (which is to be expected, of course).

  • Updated rooms.
  • Having hot water problems.

“Awesome rooms, excellent staff, plenty of parking. Nice indoor pool. Quiet, pleasant and well worth the stay!”

  • The rooms are nice.
  • The Construction made the pool off limits and parking stunk.

“Hopefully after the construction is done a lot of the normal parking is back and you have access to the pool.”

  • The room and beds were quite nice.
  • Construction on-site.

“The price was fantastic for 3-star hotel. Would stay there again. Would hope the construction would be completed.”

  • Remodeled room very attractive, bed very comfortable.
  • Rooms not insulated from sound in hall - kept us awake until late.

“Nice older hotel with courtyard and pool. Hacienda-type atmosphere. Enjoyed the architecture and decor in the lobby, lots of character reminiscent of Old Mexico. Refurbished rooms very well done. Liked the patio doors opening up to courtyard and pool area, which were being renovated at the time we were there.”

  • Excellent pillows and beds.
  • There was trash on hallway floors and dirty dishes outside rooms.

“My husband and I found this to be one of the most comfortable hotels we've ever stayed in.”

  • The room service staff would do a follow up call to ensure the food meet with my expectations. Very nice and knowledgeable staff.
  • Too many choice with the on-demand TV network, makes it hard to leave the room.

“Loved the newly remolded room! Beautiful decor and comfortable! Worth staying! Indoor and outdoor pools. Food is fantastic. Close to the two major highways makes it easy and convenient to get to local attractions. I will stay here again.”

  • Good restaurants.
  • There were two marriage parties going on so there was no parking space.

“Okay, except there is no parking space with all the parties going on.”

  • Parking, when holding events, guest couldn't find parking.

“Great room, great staff, would stay again. Parking for guest should be better. Overall great place to stay.”

“I have recommended this hotel to a friend who is traveling to that area. I was most impressed with the friendliness and willingness to assist from the staff members we came in contact with. An overall excellent experience.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[9] • Location:[6]

  • Staff were friendly - location was close to access roads.
  • Rooms and baths had a dated look and feel.

“This hotel would be fine if you were a business traveler in the area - good access to freeways etc., but not much in the way of amenities nearby.”

  • Location.
  • No refrigerator & overpriced room service.

“Had this hotel been rated 2 or 2.5 stars I would have been quite impressed. But as it was rated 3 I was somewhat disappointed with the room, linens, and towels.”

  • Public facilities were very inviting.
  • They were not able to make the proper accommodations. Many other visitors were having the same problem.

“The public areas of the hotel were very nice. The rooms were small but updated. The service was disappointing. They were trying to push us into a smoking. We had to settle for one bed in order to receive a non-smoking room.”

  • Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating!
  • Hotel was older and not well kept up to date.

“Hotel staff was wonderful and very helpful. Parking was a nightmare over the weekend. The cabana rooms are older and need to be updated, but they did have nice flat screen TV. The shower curtain clung to you in the shower and I hate that! The bathrooms are
very small. Everything was very clean and well-kept, though. The restaurants looked nice, but we did not eat at them. It's always a bummer when there is no free breakfast!”

  • Despite it being one of the first/oldest hotels in Albuquerque, it still is upscale & new.
  • No (small) refrigerator
and the inside of the lamp shades were torn and touching the light bulbs.

“For the most part, it is a nice elegant place to stay.
But overall I liked it. The staff were exceptionally professional and polite like it is suppose be. I would stay there again.”

  • Great staff and nice updated rooms.
  • Wish it was full service. The full service hotels in Gallup are not good.

“Best hotel and close to dining. Great beds. Clean”

  • Converted smoking room - still very smelly. Allergic reaction to something in room, eyes were swollen both mornings and returned to normal when left.

“Room was OK, bathroom was old, mold in tub and shower curtain smelled musty.”

  • The view was amazing.
  • The motel staff refused to help my mother 66 year mother stating no English. Good thing is I know Spanish. Plus maid spent more time in talking.

“The Hilton staff refused to help my mother 66 year mother when she asked for more towels and coffee packages. Stating no English. Good thing is I know Spanish as a second language. Plus maid spent more time talking to the other male staff on the the floor than cleaning. I came to Albuquerque for business and brought my mother along for a vacation to see the zoo. However, the staff really upset her when she asked politely for towels, and coffee. This in turn upset me. I loved everything else about our stay at the Hilton though.”
