  • It's location. It is right on the edge of downtown within walking distance of restaurants and bars.
  • No restaurant. Just a breakfast buffet.

“I've stayed at this hotel many times. It has a free shuttle from the airport. It is within walking distance of downtown, which includes bars and restaurants, so you don't have to drive. It is a much longer walk to Old Town and Nob Hill, which offers some other things similar to downtown.”

  • Great staff cleans, interesting not boring.
  • Needs an external paint job including doors leading into rooms.

“Very good. Very convenient.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[1]

  • Not a thing.
  • Dangerous neighborhood, peeling paint, unattractive exterior and more.

“I paid for two nights at this hotel and I left after one hour because I was afraid to stay there by myself. The star rating I paid for was not consistent with the actual hotel!”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[7]

  • Helpful friendly staff.
  • Poor breakfast, no hotel maintenance.

“The staff is wonderful; the property itself is going downhill at a rapid clip. Spend the extra $$$ and stay at the Hyatt.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[9] • Location:[7]

  • Very friendly staff that looked after me well.
  • Sleep disturbed at night due to noisy quests and no fridge in room.

“More motel than hotel, staff very friendly, right in the middle of the downtown area so convenient for bars and restaurants and close to the old town.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[7] • Location:[3]

  • Shuttle to old town.
  • Sketchy neighborhood.

“On old route 66, trying to make a comeback. Renovations in progress, so the elevator was a little dirty. No problem with renovations noise, though. Decor is campy but attractive. Overall, a good deal, and convenient to old town.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[2]

  • Nothing!
  • It was dark, drab, ugly, bad neighborhood, unsafe, uncomfortable.

“I was so shocked when I arrived at the hotel to see its poor physical condition! The lobby was old, drab and cold. I asked to see my room and I found it old, dark, drab, ugly and it gave me the creeps in general! The bed was much too hard to even think of sleeping on and the neighborhood was very unsafe. There was no parking. You had to find parking on the street. I felt very creepy just walking through the hotel! Within 15 minutes I realized there was no way I could stay there! ”

“A very old hotel that has undergone some renovation.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[8] • Location:[6]

  • The room was clean, and breakfast was alright. I feel that I got what I paid for, no more and no less.
  • The hotel staff was not helpful in recommending a place to get a late bite to eat, and it would have been nice to have a desk in the room.

“If you are tired of feeling ripped-off by downtown hotels and you don't like skuzzy motels, this is the place for you. There is nothing fancy about Hotel Blue, but for night I got exactly what I paid for. The room was clean, and breakfast was ample. I did not need more, although it would have been nice to have a desk in the room, a potential problem for business travelers.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • Very clean, great bed.
  • Skimped on important details.

“The motel is very clean and nicely decorated, but they over-advertise - this is not a boutique motel! Bed is great but towels are paper thin and amenities are lacking. Add a chair, some pillows, better towels, a few more lotions, and then we're talking. We got the feeling they were either just starting up, or heading south.”

Cleanliness:[3] • Staff:[2] • Location:[3]

  • Not far from the freeway.
  • Location in a very bad neighborhood and very noisy!

“This hotel is very run down. The rating should change. It is right across from a park where it sounded like parties were going on late into the night. It was not very clean.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[9] • Location:[6]

  • The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
  • There were several problems, including a broken gate from parking lot broken toaster, unclean lobby, etc.

“I do not think this hotel is worthy of a 2-1/2 star rating; perhaps a 2. Although the rooms were clean, the carpet was very worn and the lobby area behind the desk was filthy and stacked with boxes, papers, etc. Thank goodness the staff was friendly and nice.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[8]

  • The staff were very nice and the free deluxe continental breakfast was pretty good.
  • Despite substantial renovation, it is still apparent that this establishment has seen better days.

“If you want economical in downtown Albuquerque, Hotel Blue is a good bet. The hotel has a friendly and helpful staff. The rooms have been renovated and are clean, but could use a bit more light. The common areas are still a bit seedy looking, especially the carpets in the hallways. I've had more creative continental breakfasts, but overall it was good vale for the price.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[5] • Location:[3]

  • Breakfast bar was adequate.
  • Seedy area of town. Did not feel safe. Drug bust at the hotel while we were there. Hotel was not clean.

“I would not recommend this hotel to family or friends. I did not feel safe at this hotel. The park across the street had homeless people sleeping on the grass. There was a drug bust at one of the hotel rooms while we were there. The hotel was not clean. Webs in the corners at the room. It was only clean in the center of the room. The bathroom was dark and dirty in the corners. The telephone in our room worked intermittently. Will not stay there again.”

  • The staff was incredibly friendly & helpful (especially the maintenance worker & desk clerk).
  • Nothing.

“Located one block up from the concert venue "The Launch pad", the hotel is an excellent place to stay overnight to see a show & have drinks.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[9]

  • Lobby was nice.
  • Poor ac, parking garage bad, no sleep.

“I had a bad experience at the hotel there were many problems and due to fire alarm was not able to sleep well and because didn't have two beds was too crowded, many complaints. I am just glad I don't have to pay the full price because I don't feel the hotel was worth it at all.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[6] • Location:[4]

  • Check out time was noon.
  • The pool wasn't open, the airport shuttle wasn't open, it was more like a very expensive youth hostel.

“I stayed at this hotel to treat myself to a nice night in Albuquerque on my way to Santa Fe but it was no treat at all and I would have been much better off at the youth hostel down the road or any of the $20 per night places on the street. It was run down and the pool that was touted and attracted me wasn't even open while I was there, the airport shuttle wasn't running, I had no view, the TV speakers were distorted, the neighborhood was swanky, when my toilet clogged from very little paper for no apparent reason the desk told me to come down and get a plunger, the desk folks didn't know where the most basic sights were. I should've just saved a lot of money and stayed at one of the other comparable motels on the street for $20.”

Cleanliness:[4] • Staff:[8] • Location:[5]

  • Convenience to the downtown area.
  • The desk was across the room from the Internet connection.

“Hotel Blue is conveniently located in the downtown area. That is the only positive for this hotel. The lobby of the hotel appeared dirty and at the time I checked in the air conditioning was not working. The rooms are located with entrances from the outside and the noise from the busy street below is frequent. The room has a work space but, the port for Internet access is located on the other side of the room from the desk 15 feet away. I hope the Hotel is not an option for the future.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[4] • Location:[6]

  • The hotel was in a good location.
  • The staff was neither friendly nor knowledgeable. It did not live up to my expectations.
