“Very efficient front desk crew. The warm cookies were a nice touch! I requested a king non-smoking room, but they only had a king, smoking or two bed non-smoking.”

“My stay at the Doubletree was short but I feel like I got a feel for it. I got a bad first impression because when I called ahead to request to beds, I was told in a rude manner by a customer service person that he could not help me and then he proceeded. I told him I didn't need that number and all that I was simply doing was requesting a two bed room, if they had one. I simply waited until check in to make this request and was accommodated. The actual room was nice, a bit small, but had a great view. That night I went to the bar with my father and my sister. The bartender ignored us for awhile, she looked obviously drunk herself, while she chatted away with some guy who she was just getting water for. Finally she acknowledged our presence and took our drink order. Then another patron ordered a drink and she started making hers first after we had ordered just before her! But then she again seemed to remember us and stopped making her drink and made our drinks. Then we began to drink our drinks and she didn't take payment right away or even tell us how much it was because she was too busy. We were pretty much through with our drinks, 20 minutes later, when she finally told us how much our drinks were and we paid. Suffice it to say she did not make us feel welcome and was a horrible server. Then when we got up in the morning I noticed I forgot a tooth brush. I first tried calling housekeeping, it just rang and rang and rang with no answer, it was like 800 am, so then I decided to call the front desk. They said they would have one up shortly. Then about an hour passed still no toothbrush, then I called again and they apologized and someone came up with toothbrush. I think this Hotel is nice but not 3 star based on their poor customer service. They need to train people better.”

“The newly renovated Doubletree is an excellent choice when staying in ABQ. Conveniently located downtown, the hotel is a nice mix of easy comfort and groovy style. We preferred the old lobby bar, but the newly appointed rooms (though small), great gym, and friendly service make it our favorite destination when we're in town.”

“The public areas, the lobby, bar and restaurant, are decorated with a very modern style which due to color selections of blue and green, feels cold. The rooms are traditional and comfy. Good workout room.”

“At check-in I was assigned a smoking room. The room was not ready and I was asked to come back in one hour. Two hours later the room was not ready. I had to wait another 30 minutes. I was finally assigned to a non-smoking room. When I opened the door. I found the suitcases of another guest. I had to wait another 30 minutes until this guest removed his items. Nobody checked if the room was ready for me. I was exhausted and took the room as it was. It was a very unpleasant experience.”

“Very nice and I can highly recommend. The only hesitation I have is there was (according to my husband) a chemical odor in our room that I could not smell due to a tremendous allergy attack I had after arriving there. Still concerned it may have been something in the room that caused it. They had a "clean air" machine and when I quizzed the front desk about it, I was told it was an extra charge for it normally and not uncommon to have it in their rooms. Have no clue if it was caused by the hotel room.”

“Upon arrival they had us in a smoking room and would not even look to see if they could give us a non smoking room. Desk attendant was very rude about it. Our room was so incredibly smelly that we had to leave with a candle lit which didn't help. The bar served me wine in a dirty glass and I asked for a new one only to get another dirty glass. Our room faced east and the curtains did not close so we were awoken with the sunrise. Maid service came at 9a.m. check out wasn't until noon. Overall a really bad experience and will never stay there again, nor recommend it to others.”

“Lobby was open air and cleans as were the rooms. Could have used another lounge chair in the room but we made do with the furniture available. We were very pleased with the view from our room but very displeased with the additional parking fee.”

“The hotel staff was hammering in the room next to mine the first day I was there, when I came out there was trash in the floor in front of my door which I tripped over. When I complained to the manager - he was obnoxious and did not care. The next night staff was talking loudly outside of my door late at night and then all of a sudden the room next to mine started playing a violin 2 AM. I left a day early even thou I had already prepaid. It was the worst experience I have ever had at any hotel little loan a 3 star this should not even get a one star.”

“Pros: The hotel is nice, conveniently located, and the rooms are clean. Comfortable beds, and roomy bathrooms. Cons: This is the first time I have stayed at a hotel where the desk clerk that checked me is was very rude . He was curt, and did not even bother to complete the check in by providing me with a parking lot paper that was necessary for guest of the hotel. I only found that out when I left the lot the first morning. Also, the walls are paper thin, the room heater is very loud. I set the thermostat at 70 and the heater unit would go off about every 10 - 15 minutes. It was so loud that I would have to adjust the volume on the TV. When the heater went off, the TV would be blasting. Also, I literally felt as if I was sharing a room with the person next door. I could clearly hear conversations, phone calls, even coughing and clearing of the throat. It was very uncomfortable. On day two my next door roommate was still answering his cell phone at 3:45 in the morning.”
