• Friendly staff.
• No fridge in room, wish we'd had 4 big towels to start.

“Very friendly helpful staff. Good enough overall I would stay again. Convenient to south end of town, nice park and path along river and shopping center but not in historic downtown. Nice that the non-smoking room had no trace of smoky smell. But disappointing that there was no fridge in room even though some double rooms did have fridges, they were not able to move one into our room. And late that night when we were showering we realized there were only 2 small bath towels - would expect 4 of this size for 2 people. But bed was comfortable, overall good.”

• Nothing.
• The room smelled badly of smoke. Itched all night from something on or in it. Said they were all booked up, could not give us another room.

“It was dirty and smelled of smoke. I had to run to the store and get some fabreze to get rid of the smell. Bed sheets made you itch all night. When we checked out and told them of the situation all they could do was apologize.”

• I have nothing positive to say about the Super 8. It was a horrible experience for 10 minutes before we left and went to another hotel.
• The staff was rude, the hallways were filthy, and the room smelled.

“I would NOT recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. We were so disappointed with everything at that point that I took out my laptop and booked us another room just down the road.”

• The room appeared clean and it was quiet.
• The sheets were itchy and the room kind of smelled funny.

“I needed to stay in Durango for the night because I had an obligation in the early morning and we were getting pounded with snow. Overall, I was satisfied with the room. The outside doors don't shut, so I had to make sure to pull them closed to keep people that weren't supposed to be there from getting in. The front desk staff was really nice and gave me a goody bag with snacks and OTC samples and deodorant and a razor, which I didn't really need but thought was pretty cool. If you are going for an extended stay, I wouldn't stay here; however, if you need a room for just a night or two, this place fits the bill. Quiet and dark, which is nice if you enjoy sleeping, like me?”

• Affordable in an otherwise pricey (over-priced) town.
• Needs renovation. Limited parking spaces.

“You get what you pay for. Pretty basic lodging. The rates were reasonable for the area but I'm sure the rates would go up if they remodel. The staff was friendly. Too many contractor trucks in the parking lot taking up most parking spaces.”

• Staff was not accommodating.

“This is a standard Super 8. The rooms were clean, but the staff was less than accommodating. We were not told where our room was relative to parking. The elevator is terminally slow. Not a bad hotel - just not one I'd really recommend.”

• The location and near by attractions and near by businesses.
• Parking and the picture that shows on its web site shows a view of the river, but all I saw was a warehouse outside my window.

• Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was upgraded from a queen smoking to a king non-smoking for no extra charge.
• The continental breakfast was meager and ran out of food before advertised closing time.

“Although on the highway, it was set back. Beyond the frontage road it's relatively quiet. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean. HVAC good. Beds comfortable. Water temperature or pressure varied with other users. Could easily hear residents walking across the floor above. Request a top floor if this is an issue for you. Overall, excellent quality for the price.”

• Rollaway bed had poor springs, good thing my son was very tired!

“Basic, clean, friendly staff. Short drive from major commercial district but excellent access to major highway.”

• Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in room; very good continental breakfast included.
• Not very clean in hallways (dirty sock in hall for 3 days, etc.) And rooms smelled musty.

“Decent cheap place to stay with some nice amenities, but the room smelled musty and wasn't the cleanest.”
