“Good location but everything else was bad. Room was not that nice. The A/C did not work and the hotel staff told us that there were no other rooms available. I returned to the room at 11 pm from dinner and wanted water. Both soda machines were out of order, so I had to walk across the street at 11 pm to the Ramada to get a bottle of water.”

“Year after year the green-well was once my favorite place to stay. For the same price as the Ramada and others I got a better pool or a refrigerator instead of newer furniture. No one cares about furniture when you have been out riding all day. Cooling off in the pool with a cold beer and getting some good sleep before going out and doing it all over again are what matters. The green-well is no longer the value it once was. Following a recent remodel that consisted of a wide screen TV and newer furniture, they raised their prices to the point where there are now better places for the $. The doors are still as drafty as they have always been, the flaky room air conditioners have not changed and I'll bet the one room still has the same refrigerator that would not seal and ran all night. My last bike trip was furthermore the last straw. So much so that I doubt I will ever stay at a best western again, let alone the green-well. After a buddy bailed and my girlfriend got called to jury duty, we needed a little flexibility as to dates and or "cancellation fees". It is the one and only time in a decade of bike touring that no allowance whatsoever has been offered by a place of lodging to accommodate a breakdown or other unplanned departure from a planned itinerary.”

“I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a good rate. It is very basic, yet it met all my needs.”
