• It was like an oasis.
• There was a creepy, dark passage and ice machines wasn't working.

“It was one of a kind in that area. There was a great service people. Also, a great pool.”

• There was nothing I liked.
• The hotel definitely needs upgrading. Our toilet leaked as well as the shower. The carpets were dirty! Gross!!!

• Great setting beautiful landscaping.
• Not extremely modernized.

• Very well landscaped with duck ponds, palm trees.
• Our television allowed unrestricted access to hardcore porn for my 10 and 13 yr old to view.

“I think I deserve a full refund. The small TV in our room easily channeled up to hardcore porn without warning shocking my 13 year old son. When we went to complain to staff, they tried to excuse it as the free HBO or Showtime. Finally when we convinced a manager to come to our room, while hiding the children in the bathroom, he easily agreed. It would randomly switch to the paid movie porn channel. The menu software was not functioning on this old set. He offered us a different room which we accepted. It is obvious to me that you get what you pay for. Newer carpet, furniture in better condition and the toilet seat actually matched the toilet. This hotel is very over due for reconditioning. Though the rooms were generally clean decor was at least 30 years old. Some would call that charming but I say it shows a lack of investment by the ownership. The chairs were stained and items were mismatched. Fixtures in the bath were the originals from when it was built in the 1960s.”

• There is not a refrigerator. but is no problem.

• The Ducks.
• Room: Dirty, Moldy, & Hot. Hotel: Dirty Pool, Missing Ice Machines, but nice staff.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The Room was hot due to the old wall A/C and The Bathroom had mold all around the shower/Tub. Overall the Room did not feel or smell clean. And the Pool, The pool was so dirty that we got in and realized all the gunk, bugs, and dirt that was in the pool and got right out. There were a lot of things wrong with this hotel but I don't want to waste your time. In the other hand the staff is very nice and you get free breakfast. ”

• Good location.
• Very old rooms.

“The hotel is an old property, the lobby was clean and the staff friendly. The rooms are old block walls with very stained carpeting, definitely a party hotel. I was very disappointed with the property. ABSOLUTILY NOT A 2 STAR PROPERTY !!!!!!”

• The staff was very friendly and tried their best to meet our every need.
• It was older and you could see the brick wall in our room.

“It was a nice place to stay. The staff was very helpful and didn't seem to mind how many kids we had with us. Very enjoyable.”

• It was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly.
• Rooms a little out dated and breakfast was terrible.

“I enjoyed my stay at the smugglers in. The rooms were clean and it was a please atmosphere. The breakfast could have been better. We got to the breakfast about an hour before they closed but they were already out of just about everything. It wasn't very nutritious. The only provided paper & plastic plates and didn't refill coffee.”

• The grounds, the place was beautiful.

• I enjoyed the fountain & lush landscaping directly outside my room.
• Carpet in room needed cleaning or replacing - was stained & dirty.

“Room wasn't what I expected. Carpet in room needed to be cleaned or replaced. Hotel was older than I had thought. Entrance to room was from the parking lot. The view from the balcony of the room was nice and the sound of the fountain was relaxing.”

• I told them about a broken light bulb and didn't fix it.

“It has beautiful gardens as well as its ponds and ducks. Very easy to reach, and a lot to do nearby.”

• The tropical motif of the grounds were very well kept . The lagoon and waterfowl were a huge hit with my three kids.
• The hotel restaurant is closed and now only serves breakfast. The food and service were not the best here.

“Overall my family that includes three kids really enjoyed our stay. The grounds were very manicured with a fun tropical theme. The food at the breakfast buffet was okay and the restaurant was otherwise closed. That disappointed us. The hotel was obviously older and perhaps not in it's heyday, but it had these things going for it: clean pool and hot tub, fun lagoon and grassy area with ducks, good maid service, good location, and great price!”

• The included breakfast was excellent, but not accessible to wheelchair patrons. Grounds were beautiful also.
• The room was filthy, smelly, and neither air conditioning or security lock worked.

“The grounds are very well manicured and beautiful. Our room had both a parking lot access and a garden/pool access. The breakfast was well done, hot and plentiful. Staff was courteous and helpful. However, the room was terrible. The carpeting was stained and filthy, there was a moldy odor to the room, and the air conditioning was broken, as was the dead bolt on the exterior door. The room was labeled as accessible, and it was until you ran into the refrigerator they had placed in the entryway. We had to move it in order to get into the room or gain wheelchair access from the room into the bathroom. Wheelchair access into the shower was creative, but functional. Unfortunately, the poor repair and lack of cleanliness of the room itself would prohibit me from recommending this hotel as a two star facility.”
