“This hotel was just a place to sleep for the night. It did not have anything that made me want to stay in it again. I thought it was overpriced for the service and comfort it provided. I was surprised to see a continental breakfast was included. However, this breakfast was disappointing. I will think twice before I book with this hotel again.”

“This hotel is in need of a lot of TLC. It is old and outdated and not in the most convenient location.”

“When I reserved the room with the understanding that we could have my small dog with us, they said no, then they agreed for a 20 dollar charge. Then there was only two clean towels in the room and I booked for two adults and one child, thank god my mom gave us towels just in case because she has had that problem before, the vending machine took my money, I had my antenna stole off of my truck, because it was not there the next morning.”

“Couldn't turn the hot water faucet over tub in room 1. Sink stopped up in room 2. Loose particles on the carpet in room 3 (which I did stay in) from work that had been done. Wand to open/close curtain missing on one half of curtain. Couldn't get clear picture on TV. I was able to finish my business in 2 days so I did not stay for the 4th night. Would appreciate a refund of that night's payment!”

“It was not worth the price despite the economy price. I was not satisfied with the value I received although it was relatively cheap. It was relatively clean, but was sloppily care for overall (paint, shower, rundown condition, etc).”

“This hotel is good for someone who want to spend very little on a one-night stay in Tucson but does not really care about quality service.”

“The room was filthy, the bathroom moldy, two towels, there was glass and rock debris on the beds. I felt as if this hotel was in a red light district with the constant activity at all hours. I felt very unsafe with my family there. The restaurant was closed. I would never stay at this hotel again. Not the caliber that I would expect from a Howard Johnson's.”

“ It's still unbelievable that people would allow goats, rabbits, big dogs (into the pool), and cats in the room!!!!! Several cockroaches. Had to go to office 6 times because of dirty rooms, keys not opening. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!! !And I have been in Mexico and Thailand!”

“I realize they are under reconstruction, however, the rooms were dirty, the parking lot was dirty. Every time you walked outside, there was a peddler there asking for money. I will never stay in a Howard Johnson Hotel no matter what city after this visit. I was very disappointed.”

“I would not recommend this place to anyone. if I had known what was in store for me, no matter what the cost was, I would have preferred to stay in a tent at a nearby campground! I am close to writing the owner of this establishment as well as the better business bureau. this motel was not up to code at all!!!!!”

“The hotel has declined and is not being kept up. The room was adequate for one overnight stay but would not be acceptable for extended stays.”

“This was one of the grossest places I have ever stayed. My daughter was with me and she wondered if we pulled up the rug if there would be white outlines from a murder scene. The bathroom was atrocious, we were afraid we were going to pick up some sort of virus it was that dirty. I recommend you take it off your list completely. We have had very good success in getting very nice rooms with you before but this was not a good choice.”

“This hotel is dirty beyond expectations. A health inspector would shut it down. Traces of food in the refrigerator (inside and out), mold in the shower, the towels disintegrating. The only reason I spent the night there was my arrival time was 12:30AM and I was beat. I slept on top of the bed covers and semi-dressed.”

“The axiom, "You get what you pay for," holds true. The bathroom was very run-down. The small bathtub was painted with large areas showing run marks from the paint. The stopper was disconnected and had to be manually inserted in the drain for it to work. The toilet was small - one that you would encounter in a men's restroom. The light switch for the dressing area was located across the room by the entrance. The walls were dirty with stains. especially in the bathroom. This was the second (and now, the last) time I have had poor accommodations from the Howard Johnson chain. The conclusion: spend more and go to a newer, better location.”

“This was a pretty bad experience, much worse than I expected for a Howard Johnson hotel. The hotel was right next to I-10, which was a plus, but the grounds felt unsafe due to many suspicious characters around. The room was very dirty and looked like the floor molding had just been removed. There were food particles in the drawers and on the floor, and the mini-fridge had spilled liquids on its glass shelves. Also, the toilet is a tank-less (industrial) toilet that flushes very loudly. Overall it was a very disappointing stay.”
