“I liked the breakfast room and the room we stayed in. We stayed way in the back of the hotel in an upstairs room. Carts were available to transport luggage, however I thought it was odd that there was no elevator.”

“When I booked this place on Priceline, I didn't have high expectations because the price was so cheap. But this was a WONDERFUL place to stay for a night on the way to the Grand Canyon. Staff was friendly and helpful, and happy to share their knowledge of the area. Room was modern, neat, and spotlessly clean. Self-serve breakfast in the dining room had more variety than we expected: Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy, Cereal, Muffins, Pastries, and Boiled eggs. Another couple staying the same night as us said they were bothered by train noise all night. For me, my husband, and my parents, it wasn't an issue at all. If you're a light sleeper, you'll probably need to bring your ear-plugs.”

“We only spent 1 night there again we only had one room four 4 people. The lady @the front desk was great as far as taking care of us,By proving a roll away and extra blankets at additional charge.”

“This was a great hotel in a nice location. Less than 80 miles from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. A nice place to stay if you are looking to take a trip to see the Grand Canyon.”

“This hotel was most likely nice 20 or so years ago. It is now a run down mess. Walls are thin. Floors need reveling. It is in need of a serious overhaul. Not to mention there are train tracks directly across the street from the hotel with a cross street so, not only does a train come by nearly every 30 minutes (every 30 minutes), but they also have to sound the horn on the train as they approach the cross street. The sound cannot be missed and will wake you up all night long. When I checked in the people in front of me were being charged $149 to stay here. I didn't have the courage to tell them I paid less than half (and still I felt ripped off).”

“This hotel is on route 66, which is an allure, but when the train comes barreling by your room all night long blowing its whistle you get no sleep. Staff sits in a room across from guest rooms talking all night. You can get no sleep at this hotel.”

“At a crossing on the busiest train track in the country. Stay away unless you want to hear 4-5 trains per hour, every hour.”

“Location is convenient to NAU. It felt safe and clean and the hotel was easy to find. The trains drove by often and they were loud (tracks are close by). I would stay here again.”

“The hotel had small rooms for couples. There was lots of noise coming from other rooms both from sides and from the top floor. There was noise coming from night trains.”

“This hotel was offered as a two star hotel but has no restaurant on-site, the pool is very small and no open space for children. The room was literally (12 x 12) with a small bathroom. Next to railroad tracks with constant train noise. This is a one star property.”

“This room was spacious with comfortable beds and pillows. The pool area was great for both the kids and adults. The only complaint I have is that the breakfast was awful. We've stayed at many hotels that offer cont. breakfast - and this was by far the worst breakfast offering I've seen.”

“It was a last minute idea to stay in Flagstaff in stead of driving back to Phoenix after visiting the Grand Canyon for the day. It was convenient, in that it was a little over an hour from the Grand Canyon and we didn't have as far to drive the next day. The room had a rank odor from the minute we walked in to the time we left. I could smell it the whole time. It was a little inconvenient that you have to go outside to get to the pool house and breakfast. It would be fine in the summer but quite cold in the winter! The breakfast was adequate. It was nothing spectacular but it was enough to hold us over until lunch. It was a place to sleep and that's what we needed.”

“The bed was comfortable. Cons: (1) Unfortunately, the chairs were not comfortable to do anything in for a long period of time (i.e. - laptop work on table), (2) and the coffee maker carafe didn't pour well at all - spilled each time when I poured. (3) Also, the Styrofoam cups should be replaced with regular ceramic cups. (4) Unless you are used to noise all night long, the room neighbors and periodic train passing through will keep you stirring at night.”
