“The gentleman in the cafe at breakfast was so kind and helpful I almost cried. Work-out room? One treadmill that hardly worked and some free weights with an old stair stepper, what a joke.”

“We needed a hotel for a night while we sent our son off to college. Never stayed there before and really wasn't expected too much. But the people that worked there were really nice and the beds were extremely comfortable.”

“Horrible, no room when we got there, terrible run down location, used to house people. Had to find different lodging when we arrived and they didn't care.”

“An older (1950/60's) facility that has been reasonably well maintained. Room is a good size with common furnishings including plentiful supply of pillows. The breakfast/happy hour facility is a converted coffee shop located on the premises. Overall, a good value for the price.”

“For the price, the hotel met my needs. The initial room assigned had several things that needed to be addressed and upon presentation to the front desk and management, they were able to satisfy me, by doing a complimentary upgrade. The staff is very attentive and the free hot breakfast was a definite bonus.”

“The beds were absolutely wonderful! Great breakfast and I would definitely recommend spending a few extra dollars for the Jacuzzi suite.”

“We just went to play in the snow for the weekend and needed a hotel that would accept our dog. This was a great fit. The staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was pretty good for a free buffet! The beds were comfortable. The corners of the bathroom floor were very dusty and you could tell that the bathroom floor was not swept before they mopped it.”

“This is a really nice place for the money. The only problem was that it was really cold and the doors were not weather-stripped, the upper section is good, you can barely hear the trains up there and the free food (breakfast) and cookies were excellent. Every other place in Flag you can hear the trains, but here you are above them. The tub was wonderful, the heat lamps well placed and the bed was nice and plush.”

“Absolutely dreadful. The shower had hairs that were identifiable but should not be mentioned in pubic I mean public. The drains did not work in the two rooms that we rented. The coffee makers were "out of order". The unmentioned train tracks across the street didn't help in the sleep category. The heated pool would have kept our beverages at the freezing level (in other words we would have had to break the layer of ice to get into the pool). So with this all going on we decided to sit down with all of us and watch a movie on hob which was supposedly available in every room. Guess again no hob reason storm blew out the cable box yea right! Enough said got better things to do than live the past. Inns suite never again.”

“A nice enough place. If you want luxury don't stay there. They had everything we needed including free internet and great hot breakfasts. Location was pretty central. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Seems like a train went by every 15 minutes around the clock.”

“Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. No internet access in room and said they would send someone to fix it. No one came. Pool light burnt out. Short on fan in bathroom. Dangerous walkway to and from room. Tried to give us a room already assigned to someone. Staff acted like they were on drugs.”

“Although this hotel is presently very run down. I could see that a major renovation was taking place in several of the rooms. The staff was all friendly and helpful. The rooms were a nice size. They offer a Social hour where they serve beer, wine, coffee, tea and soft drinks They also had a complimentary breakfast. We did not have time to experience the outdoor pool or the indoor Jacuzzi. It is located on historic Route 66. Although it is set back a bit from the road (especially the upper 200 building) the train tracks were across the street and trains ran frequently. Ear plus would be helpful. My major complaint was that I called earlier in the week and specifically requested two non-smoking, ground floor suites. When we arrived we were told that we could only have one like that. We gave that one to our guests.”

“The hotel web site must have been for a different hotel / total misrepresentation. The entire experience was unacceptable. The refrigerator was on an unlabeled wall switch. The microwave's turntable was a mismatch so it did not work properly. Room was not made up at 4pm when I inquired as to when I could expect the room to be serviced I was told when housekeeping gets around to it. The hot tub listed on the web site and literature was nonexistent. Internet service did not work, mold and loose tile in the bath.”

“Never again. I paid $100.00 plus tax for this dump. The room was not much more than a closet with a king-sized bed stuck in a corner, an obvious attempt to hide a pathetic patch job on the wall. Only 1 of the lights in the entire room worked. It was suppose to be a non-smoking room, but the carpet was ancient and beyond cleaning therefore retaining every smell imaginable. The proximity to the train didn't keep me awake due to sheer exhaustion, but it could easily keep others awake. It appeared that some attempt had been made at upgrading, but it was a poor job at best. The vanity in the bathroom was obviously original, and I made the mistake of looking under the sink - the original wallpaper/wallboard was still showing and the bottom of the vanity was warped, rotten and smelled. There was no question as to why the poor patch job on the other side of the wall next to the bed was necessary. The air conditioner sounded like a freight train and kept my wife up all night, despite the fact that she was exhausted, too. My advice - spend the extra $20.00 or so and go someplace else.”

“I would not want my children to stay there because of uncleanliness and general poor quality of linens, bathroom fixtures, etc. Breakfast was really good...& was free at an adjoining mini-cafe.”
