“I was expecting an outdated room based on room photos. However, I was put in one of the newly renovated rooms, so my experience was of a newly decorated, up-to-date room. The room was spotless, the staff was responsive and I had an amazing stay here. I was in the 1 bedroom unit and the bathroom was gargantuan, the other rooms were spacious and I just loved it. It is a timeshare and if you've never stayed at a timeshare before, you do need to be prepared, have less service at your fingertips than you do in a hotel, but this was.”

“Location was nice but the particular room we had, a studio, felt unclean. Carpet was dirty furniture shabby. Maintenance was lacking. Staff was helpful. We have had much nicer accommodations in the area for the same price. We would not want to stay there again”

“While I was prepared for the hard sell already described by previous raters, I was not prepared to be stuck in a room in which the air handler began to leak water in the middle of the night. Further, the front desk staff when notified treated us poorly, as if we had caused the inconvenience, and never apologized for the experience. I had to insist to be moved to another room, it was never offered. Rather, the expectation was that we just endure the endless sound of dripping water into buckets all night.”

“The "concierge" was just a sales person trying to coerce us into attending a timeshare presentation. This was a huge waste of time and very annoying. The accomodations were nice enough and I liked the full kitchen. However, the bathroom could use a bathtub and the noise between rooms really needs to be addressed. We heard every word of the conversations our neighbors were having and we were subjected to their late night drinking and antics.”

“After a long trip traveling in the car with young children, we were relieved to arrive at our hotel. However, when we were checking in, the receptionist insisted that my husband and I and our two children enter the hotel so they could initiate the sales process of a time share on their property. I requested that this be postponed since we and our children were exhausted after a long trip and she completely ignored my request and proceeded to give us her pitch on scheduling a tour of the property. I have never stayed at a time share and as a result of this visit, hope I never do. The one positive thing about this hotel was the convenience of a kitchenette and the pool was nice, although, the water was cold.”

“I really would not classify this property as a hotel. It looked like an apartment complex that they are thinking of converting into vacation homes.”

“It's a timeshare, not a hotel. I want a hotel, bell service, would not take risk if the trash is not in it's proper place along with the furniture. This location will receive so many complaints.”

“Overall, the experience was good. The high pressure sales as we checked in was a major turn off. The hotel was close to several hiking trails and some of our favorite restaurants.”

“This is a great spot once you get the staff to understand that you are there for a holiday. This takes some time because you are essentially badgered during the check in process. To a tired traveler, taking 45 minutes to get in the room is way too long, especially when you are the only couple being checked in at that time. If I had to book a room in the area again I would really consider another place based solely on the persons badgering us to attend Time share meetings and sessions. Also the carpets being clean the morning we are checking in is unacceptable. Wet carpets and the smell of wet carpets are offensive.”

“To find the hotel (its actually a time share), turn toward the Hilton (its a circle/roundabout). The street sign names the road to the east if you are coming from the south on I17. Parking on street does not seemed to be allowed in front of the hotel, but that might be your only alternative. Parking at check-in is problematic as guests seem to use it for the swimming pool. There is no way to get around a car parked in the check-in lane. Room are pre-assigned so you should try to call ahead if you want a 2nd floor room or some other requirement. Noise from the street is in not an issue and as with noise from the main road (3 mile away). Check in was easy and when we indicated that we were not interest in the time share preview, the front desk clerk did not push it any further. The room that we had, was decorated okay and was clean. There is a little dining table for four and the kitchen does not have a stove or cook top. So its microwave, MREs or eat out. The refrigerator was decent size and was quiet. The microwave could be used as an anchor in a storm (it was one of the largest I've seen since the Amana Radar Range) and it worked well. The P room has only one security door between the rooms and it is insufficient. The amount of space between the door and the jamb was too large. It allowed in light and sound from the other room, the door seemed to be a simple non-insulated door. Only having one door between the two rooms did not make me feel safe. Also there was no second lock on the front door. The AC was overly loud. There was no way to make the room dark as the curtain too short. The blinds on the kitchen window were also deficient in keeping the room dark at night. To shut off of the lights over the bed (the sofa was a convertible), you needed to get out of bed to shut them off. The on/off switch was at least two feet away from the bed. The facility was nicely kept. Staff was driving golf carts as early as 6.00 am and they did seem.”

“The price was great for a room with a kitchenette. We were looking forward to a jacuzzi tub, but it only had a shower. The hot tub also closed early so we couldn't enjoy a soak anywhere.”

“ This resort is located quite a distance from downtown Sedona. It is a time share style resort and we stayed in a studio. The room was fair. Some aging in the bathroom, stained wall, rusty fixture. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The pull out couch was fine for our 2 small children. The carpets were soaking wet from cleaning. The desk staff apparently knew this and booked us into this room anyway. We left immediately after checking in for a scheduled event, upon returning the carpets were still soaked making the room uncomfortably moist and fragrant. They offered to move us however it was after 10 pm and my children were in dire need of sleep. The manager was unable to compensate us for our inconvenience, this was very frustrating. We did not get what we paid for. ”

“The receptionist at check in is really a time share sales agent. I had to say no 4 times to a sales tour just to get my room keys!”

“Very nice well managed facility. When you were traveling, however, and have limited time visiting the area, the facility should be for rest and relaxation. we were a little put off by the Diamond Resort wanted to promote a presentation for an additional reduced rate. They didn't push for our participation, but did question that they didn't understand why we wouldn't do it for the reduced rate. The comment was unnecessary. We expect to be guests, and not sales prospects, who were meant to feel like we are missing a financial opportunity.”

“This resort closely resembled a Quality Inn. Should have been updated and the customer service should be top notch. I waited over two hours for working remote, after three phone calls to the front desk. There was no coffee in the room, when I called for coffee I was told basically, that I would not receive any for the coffee maker. The rooms are outdated and lack the resort feel for the money.”

“Terrible experience at over-priced, sub-par hotel that was not resort like, with uncomfortable out of date furnishings, and view of parking lot. No housekeeping and constant pressure from staff to become owner of timeshare. The sales pitch began with a prolonged, 30 minute check in process, from which I was not released until agreed to sales tour. It took over 2 hours and was a high pressured grilling with a rude sales manager making disparaging comments when I politely declined to spend on the spot on their product. Very humiliating and actually wrecked my vacation.”
