  • The location was nice.
  • The room was terribly small and there was no hot tub.

“The rooms are small with tiny showers. The furnishings were nice, but there was no hot tub or pool. I enjoyed the location of the hotel.”

  • Joe at the door was amazing. Very friendly and helpful with guiding us around town.
  • The rooms are small but well appointed. My room did not have a full length mirror.

“This 100 year old hotel is full of charm. The rooms are small but with high ceilings you do not feel cramped. Each room is well appointed and the beds are new and super comfy. The staff is very friendly and know the area well.”

  • Tempur-pedic mattresses, I-home alarm clocks and fast Wi-Fi internet access.
  • Restaurant on site no longer serves breakfast.

“My husband and I frequently stay at Peery Hotel whenever we travel to Salt Lake City. One thing we love about this 1910 hotel is that every so often it gets renovated to some extent. On our most recent trip we were pleasantly surprised by some changes at the hotel. First of all, the exterior of the building has been painted a brilliant shade of wine, this fresh look has brought new life to this old beauty. As usual, we were greeted by the Bell person and I think he has been there for the last three years or so. When we arrived to the room we were happy to see some modern upgrades to the guest rooms including new Tempur-pedic mattresses, new bedding and best of all the new I-home alarm clock and i-pod docking station. As usually the service was great. One word of advice, this charming old hotel was built in 1910 therefore the standard guest rooms and bathrooms are smaller than what you might find in a brand name or franchise hotel. But if you are looking to stay outside of the box, the Peery is for you.”

  • I loved the decor. It was also very quiet and although the hotel was full, it seemed live we were the only ones there.
  • The heating seemed old and didn't work to keep the room warm. The bed was extremely hard.

“This was a fun place to stay. The decor was wonderful and the staffs were so helpful and friendly. It was very clean and well maintained. I had a small problem with the window blind but it was corrected in a timely manner. I loved the old fashioned feel of the hotel. I will definitely go back. The one draw back was that the rooms were on the small side. I think it was worth it though for the other extras.”

  • This historic hotel lived true to its character. It was beautiful inside as well as conveniently located.
  • The wireless internet connection was horrible until we received the booster from the front desk after 3 complaints.

“This hotel is ideal for a visit to downtown SLC. It has a very homey feel to it. We did run into a problem on check in when we were given a room with one queen size bed. This is unfortunate as we are family of four.2 adults and 2 children. I had phoned the hotel ahead of time to ensure that I would have a room with 2 beds. I was assured that it was no problem. But when I checked in it was. The front desk staff did some amazing switching around and it all ended up for the best. I can't put my children in their hotel room. When it came to check out, we had to go over the same situation all over again as they had over charged me for the upgrade. It just was not that pleasant of a situation, otherwise it is a great hotel.”

  • The lobby was very beautiful.
  • Small room, vanity, and bed. Ac blowing in your face while in bed, very street noisy.

“I'm sorry to have to complain, but the room was very inadequate, being very small, old, street noisy, and not having any room at the sink vanity area. We were scheduled to stay 2 nights. We checked out after the first night because it was so bad. We were not impressed, and very disappointed.”

  • It was pretty inside.
  • The rooms were small with only one full size bed in each room.

“I would not recommend it and I would never stay there again. There is no airport shuttle, no complimentary breakfast. Tiny room that you get with the smaller bed (full size) and when we asked for a roll away they were out because they only have 3 of them. And there wouldn't have been room for one anyway.”

  • It was clean and the hotel staff was very helpful.
  • There was a $9 per night parking fee that we were not expecting.

“Overall, it was very comfortable. It was an older hotel but the remodel and updating of the rooms preserved the integrity of the hotel. We will probably stay there again sometime.”

  • Historical Setting.
  • Room much too small, bathroom barely there at all.

“Location worked well for our stay, but the room was very small, bed had a hard mattress to sleep upon and the bathroom well, watch out - much too small to be use able I would not consider this hotel to be three stars at all.”

  • Historic ambiance.
  • No pool, no hot tub.

“I felt really bummed that I got this hotel because it didn't have a pool or hot tub and it was a four-star rated hotel. I was REALLY disappointed to get the Perry only because there was no pool and to me, the pool is the best part of going on vacation.”

  • Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful.
  • It is Victorian style, may not work for people who does not like that.

“Excellent hotel, I have stayed at Ritz, Hyatt, four seasons, but this hotel and their staff amazed me. I think getting extra mineral water bottles every day, free starbucks coffee every morning, once a week free wine and cheese. The experience was awesome.”
