  • It looked pretty.
  • Charged for parking.

“They put us on the bottom floor by an entrance door, so all night long it was constant noise! The fan in the bathroom was so loud you thought a freight train was running through it! you had to turn it on because it was connected to the light switch! Plus you couldn't regulate the heat in the room, so it was hot!”

  • The room and bathroom were just great. Comfortable and clean.
  • Front desk person was slow and inaccurate with info. Room internet was very confusing and frustrating. FD didn't answer my call.

“The room and bath were very well kept and comfortable. We were there just to get a nights sleep and a shower in the morning and the hotel more then meet my expectations. My problems were with the Front Desk help on check in: I was given wrong directions as to where to park and how far it would be to the room form the lot. When reaching the room I tried to hook into the internet. The written instructions indicated that the service was free but when hooking up there were charges to be paid. I tried to call the front desk for clarification and let the phone ring at least 20 times with no answer. So I didn't get my project done and went to bed in frustration. Great room and facilities. Personnel need a little help with communication and response times.”

  • Good location. Spacious rooms.
  • At check-in, was told there was no elevator to the 2nd floor. We had lots of luggage.

“We were told at check-in at the front desk that there was no elevator to the second floor. Then the bellman told us there was an elevator but it was a long ways from our rooms. We did not want to luggage our large amount of luggage around, but would have used the elevator ourselves if we knew there was one at check-in.”

  • Staff was and a plus - beds were fantastic.
  • Our room was kind of crummy and old.

“I don't know about 3-stars. Beds were great, room was kind of old and crummy, and some lights didn't work. Chips in the bathroom sink.”

  • Beds were comfortable, rooms were big.
  • Did not understand why it was rated 3 star.

“The lobby was nice, the room was big, and the beds were comfortable. I thought it was a little dirty and run down and too far away from downtown to be justified for charging for parking. I don't understand why it was rated a 3 star. I have stayed at 2 star that have been nicer.”

  • There was a large beetle on the floor.

  • Comfortable beds.
  • Poor amenities.

“This hotel would have been great if they would have been more considerate of our family's needs. They put us (a family of four) in a room with two full size beds. They were completely too small for my husband and me to enjoy a good night's sleep. They make you pay for parking, internet connection, refrigerators, among other things. For the star level they are, I would have expected a little more from them.”

  • Very nice common areas.
  • Charge for wireless internet - relatively small room.

“This is a nice hotel in the heart of Downtown, with easy freeway access. The common areas are impressive. The rooms are not huge, but accommodated my family nicely. The restaurant looks great, but the food is only so-so at best. Stay away from the tortellini.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[7] • Location:[7]

  • Spacious, clean, comfy.
  • The service was too frequent, when we put "privacy please" out, we mean it.

“This hotel was clean and quite comfy for our travels. We had quite a bit of room and the bathroom was nice. We just wanted to get away and this let us, the only problem was the maid service. We put the "privacy please" sign on our door and they still knocked and asked us if we wanted maid service. Also, it was slightly inconvenient to find.”

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[2] • Location:[6]

  • Not too far from everything downtown.
  • $10/Night Parking, Poor Staffing.

“My wife and I went down to Salt Lake City for the weekend for shopping and relaxing. The pool is still closed. Parking is $10/Night just because the nice hotels in actual downtown charge that. Check in was at 3 pm, I went at 4 and they didn't have any rooms ready. At 5 I tried again and they put us in a room with a brick wall all the way up the window, so no sun was ever going to get in. There was a blood stain on the pillow case. I went back down to change rooms and they acted like I was asking for the world. They said they didn't have any rooms left and to wait until 7. At 7, they gave me a room and when I went in, there were no sheets and the rest of the room had yet to be cleaned. At this point, I just sat in the room and waited for the cleaning staff to come. Needless to say, I was not happy with my stay.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[5]

  • Nice clean atmosphere.
  • Rooms were not ready at a reasonable time.

“Rooms were nice as well as the lobby. Would recommend this place to stay at if they happen to be on a trip for business that was meant to be up town. As far as having a nice place to eat, everything was closed so what was left over to eat had been much to be desired. However it wasn't the hotels fault for that.”

Cleanliness:[5] • Staff:[5] • Location:[8]

  • Coffee maker, location, lobby is beautiful.
  • Bathroom is very old, poor view.

“I was disappointed; I thought the Sheraton would be nicer. It looked like the bathroom had been used when we arrived. We had to use the stairs with our luggage to get to the 2nd floor. I would have liked a king bed.”

Cleanliness:[7] • Staff:[6] • Location:[8]

  • Clean basic, accommodations.
  • Check in staff seemed irritated that we got room as such a significant savings.

“Facilities and accommodations were above average. Staff not particularly friendly. Hotel charges $10 per night to park not mentioned and automatically charges for morning newspaper even though its not ordered.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The rooms were very big and roomy.
  • They usually charge extra for parking (we didn't have to pay so not a problem this time).

“This hotel is excellent we have stayed there twice and enjoyed both times very much.”

Cleanliness:[6] • Staff:[9] • Location:[9]

  • The staff was helpful and courteous.
  • The room did not have air conditioning, carpet and bedding worn, windows filthy.

“Hotel is in a great location in downtown Salt Lake City. The lobby and public facilities are excellent. The rooms, however, are not kept to the same standard as the public facilities. I would rate this hotel 3-stars for lobby and services, and 2.5 stars for the actual room.”
