“Old air handlers, sparse bedding, old furnishings, but nice people and great location.”

“The hotel is friendly and well-managed. I'm sure that one of the suites might have met my 4 star expectations but the standard room did not.”

“Based on the grounds, this may have been a 4 star. Based on the room, barely a 3 star. Staff in bar was wonderful. Staff at desk was not as helpful.”

“ After reading some of the reviews I was a little nervous to stay there, however, I found everything very nice and I would love to plan a family reunion at this facility! The staff tried to do everything they could to make your stay pleasant. I wish there had been a free shuttle from the airport but I understand they are in business to make money, so that is okay! ”

“Stayed overnight - asked for an upgrade and got a suite for $20.00 extra. Very busy place but excellent stay - I stay at many finer places (stayed at the Biltmore on this trip, as well) and this ranks right up there!”

“The room was very spacious. But it lacked a mini-fridge, and did not have a good soaking tub. It was also very noisy from the adjacent rooms. It was not vacuumed by the headboards (I dropped something & had to look). The grounds were nice. The fitness center was OK. The spa wasn't very upscale, the jets were weak and not at various levels for bad backs. Also, the water was not hot enough.”

“The room was spacious and very clean. But the design was old fashioned and literally old. There's no continuation of exterior design and interior design. The two look like two different worlds. The furnitures, vintage, and literally old. Overall, the hotel needs major renovation.”

“Nice hotel if staying for business etc. Stayed in main/older part of hotel. Rooms were okay but not terrific. Other rooms may be better. Staff was not up to expectations. Double Tree Paradise Valley tops customer service in my book.”

“This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It is very out dated. I wasn't upset only because I was staying for 1 night.”

“This hotel would be OK for a business trip but not for a romantic night away.”

“Overall a good experience, just disappointed at the lack of breakfast without a cost when you have to drive a distance to get a breakfast at a reasonable cost for a family. Internet cost of $12.95 for 24 hours was unacceptable.”

“Nice place to stay, especially if you are not planning to be in your room much, and like to be in the swimming pool and hot tub for a good part of your day. Expensive bottled water and restaurants, so if you are trying to save money, plan to dine out, or bring food in.”
