• The rooms were really nice.
• The housekeeping staff threw away my personal belongings because they thought it was trash.

“Everything was great except they charge you $10 a day for DVD rental which is not stated until you arrive.”

• Beautiful location, friendly staff, quiet.
• Baths could us updating, had to switch rooms due to crickets in 1st room.

“The hotel is beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Disappointed no DVD in room and internet connection was expensive as well as local calls! Very quiet and private -wonderful to walk the trails in the evening and watch all of the wildlife. Beautiful lodge, restaurants and pools.”

• Far from most attractions in Scottsdale.

“The boulders are an excellent resort for couples looking to escape the every day rat race. The summer rates are especially enticing and the spa is first rate.”

• Loved the setting, the spa, the room with fireplace and service for picking us up while staying in resort was excellent.
• I don't have anything that I did not like about boulders.

“I would recommend this resort to others. I thought the setting of boulders resort and their lodging was wonderful. There was plenty to do at the resort and also many places to drive to that were not too far away in the area it's located.”

• Fantastic natural surroundings.
• Extra 30.00 a day fee that was applied for various services.

• Elegant spa and pool area. beautiful landscaping and mountain views. abundant desert wildlife.

• Dated rooms.

“Nice resort. $29 per day resort fee. $29 covers all tipping except for restaurants and bar. Rooms are getting a bit dated (20 years old).”

• Pristine grounds, natural beauty.
• Somewhat dated, could be updated. Wireless DSL only, which I could not use.

“This is the third time over twelve years that I have stayed at the Boulders. It is like time has stood still there. That has both positive and negative implications. Memories and familiarity are great but the facility is showing its age in both looks and limited technology.”

• Wood fireplace in room.
• Room was dirty; thick mildew in shower, fixtures broken.

“Lovely grounds, but rooms are outdated, with small old showers that had prominent old scum, coffee maker filthy, coffee and toiletries provided were cheap and low-end, all in-room glassware was dirty with lip marks etc, ice bucket dirty, otherwise nice place. Staff was very gracious about my concerns.”

• I ordered champagne prior to arrival but it was not in the room as requested.
