• No common space, no pool, room not serviced during stay, overpriced.

“I was not happy with much from this hotel with the exception of the location. The hotel has no extras, and did a poor job with little was offered.”

• Close to event/purpose of trip.

“I had never heard of a studio suite and it was very cramped and the bathroom door swung into you if you were standing in the kitchen, the furniture was ragged, refrigerator ran all night. We got in at 10PM and in the morning after showers, notified the management of the sink, toilet and shower (all on same line, having problems of standing water and the bathroom smelled foul. Our friends, who were down the row 3-4 rooms, also had same issues. The person at the desk did not have authority to call a plumber and while we were out, only pushed the problem further down the line. That night when we returned, the toilet was backing up and almost overflowed and then would empty which was evident of the blockage in the line. They had some other rooms vacant but none cleaned. Not sure how that could happen since it was approximately 10:30PM and people are to vacate at 11AM. The person at the desk could not make a decision and had to call someone. We finally got moved at midnight to another room and found the kitchen had pots, pans and other things the room we were just in did not. Poor housekeeping. And, in the new room, the dish towel and cloth were used and a dirty cup was on the counter. It was questionable if the room was cleaned and the thermostat did not work. We learned there is no maid service during your stay unless it is extended. You have to go to the counter to exchange towels and they provide no soaps for dishes, hands, etc. and no sterile cups or ice bucket or ice trays. A Motel 6 provides better service. I travel a lot for work and it was definitely the top, or in the top 2 worst hotels and experiences with a hotel chain I have had.”

• Adequate for a one night stay, since we had food that needed refrigeration.
• The room had not been properly cleaned. Toilet & tub were dirty. Tortilla chips on bed, rugs and floors was dirty.

“Room was not at all clean. And there were electrical connections beside the nightstand that were exposed wires joined together with wire nuts.”

• Staff was and tried to be helpful.
• No daily service for room clean up, the bed was very old, worn out and lumpy and uncomfortable.

“Poor experience with sleeping. Beds need replacing! Service is somewhat poor, never stayed at a hotel before where they did not have daily cleaning and making up the beds like this one.”

• Swimming pool was nice.
• Air conditioner smelled like urine.

“We arrived late and had difficulty finding hotel. The hotel staff was good about giving us directions. The room was small, not too clean, intermittently smelled like men's cologne and the air conditioner smelled strongly of urine. We weren't in the room much as we were out and about, but, by the time we left as the air conditioner cycled I had to leave the room. The refrigerator was also noisy- so we turned it off at night.”

“Dreadful! the staff was unfriendly, the bathroom was dirty, the bed was a twin (not what I requested) and profoundly uncomfortable and the parking lot and hotel was noisy. It was about the worst value I have experienced and seriously raises questions, for me, as to the value and reliability.”

• The floors were dirty and there was hair in the bathroom - hard to recognize anything nice.

• Staff at front desk was super-friendly.
• Room was teeny. Bedspread had cigarette burns. Public trash can right outside room not emptied in two days no lid. Eyesore.

“Great location right near Old Scottsdale. Staff very friendly. Good lighting in room. Room very small (claustrophobically small) When you open the bathroom door you cannot get to the back of the room. No space to breathe garbage can right outside of our room wasn't emptied in two days and was overflowing. No extra amenities besides bars of soap. Not good value for your money.”
