• Great resort, bungalows, super spa, beautiful surroundings.
• Pool was unspectacular, and limited restaurants.

• Spa and amenities were wonderful and so was the staff.
• The first room we were placed into was not clean.

“The hotel property was beautiful; the spa was great too! The staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and willing to go out of their way for each patron. We were placed into a double bed room which was not even clean upon arrival. However, we did ask the next AM to be moved and were moved right away. Overall, the hotel was nice, but I will look for a better deal next time.”

• Absolutely loved the turn-down service!
• Would like for the gym to have longer hours. It did not open early enough and closed to early!

• They didn't offer free breakfast.

“The hotel is clean and beautiful with friendly staff all around. There is a constant aroma of mesquite from the many inviting fires thought the resort.”

• Outstanding staff, rooms was clean and original.
• Fee for wifi.

“Overall we were extremely pleased with this resort. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very nice, and had a private feel to them. Even though the resort is undergoing a renovation, we thought the resort was well taken care of and everyone was extraordinarily pleasant.”

• Excellent spa with great therapists and pool for adults only.
• Locker room staff at the spa was horrible. Loud and disrespectful.

“The facility was under going major reconstruction to the main entrance and restaurant during our stay. Due to open in may 2008 they have done an excellent job relocating guest services and the restaurant. We would highly recommend even during construction.”

• This was absolutely perfect in every way! Really thrilled with this experience.
• Can't think of anything. Loved it all.

“This is a wonderful hotel. The staff was excellent. The room was spacious and elegant with all the attention to detail one might expect for a 4 star property. We will go back again.”

• Fantastic location, very good comfortable room, great fitness center, another excellent value.
• Room not ready for early check in, front desk female with heavy accent said she'd call me when ready but never did.

“Can't beat the location. Easy access to 24th/camcelback, and only 3 miles to Scottsdale rd. Very comfortable room.”

• What is not to like?
• No heat for the two days I was there.

“Beautiful old property. Rooms are spacious, views of the mountains from the rear. Very upscale property. Would stay here anytime heat or no heat. The management did buy me dinner for compensation. Great place. Highly recommend!”

• I really liked that although there was construction going on it never disturbed my stay.
• I wish the walls had been a bit more sound proof.

“Although I did not get a chance to explore all of the amenities at the hotel, I have to say I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and quaintly southwestern, the grounds were well maintained and the one restaurant I ate at was tasty. I wish that the rooms had been a bit more sound proof as I could sometimes hear people talking and watching TV in the rooms above and next door, and there was a housekeeping closet right outside my door that was often loudly being slammed closed, but I would definitely stay here again. If even just for the friendliness of the staff and for a chance to try that magnificent looking pool and spa.”

“Very lovely resort in the heart of Scottsdale, yet feels very secluded. I liked the "understated elegance" atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly, especially at the restaurant. Also appreciated the fact that the fitness room was free, and there was no 25.00 "resort charge" as is very common these days.”

• The exceptional attentiveness and friendliness of the staff (with only one minor exception).
• Just one unfriendly/abrupt staff member.

“We arrived expecting a reasonably good quality room. What we got far exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed and given a wonderful deluxe room that offered the comforts we have enjoyed in most 5 star hotels/resorts. The staff was friendly and very accommodating, and the food and service were both excellent. We did not have time to enjoy the spa but the pool/Jacuzzi area were very relaxing. The setting was exquisite.”

• The most scenic location in phoenix.
• The resort is huge so if you mind walking it could be a problem.

“Top of the line resort at most scenic location in the heart of paradise valley in Scottsdale. Excellent pools and services. Beautiful, clean, and complete rooms. As good as it gets for both families and kick back executives.”

• We enjoyed the spa and all the workout facilities along with the restaurant at the spa, the staff were so friendly and the classes were great.
• The pool facility was fabulous but thought you'd have another poolside to enjoy for a change.

“Me and my two daughters were so thrilled with every aspect of the hotel we had a fabulous time and the staff and all the facilities were over and beyond what we expected.”
