  • The water park.
  • Too big.

“The first night we had to change rooms because we were given the old smelly part that had not been remodeled, but we couldnt change till the morning, once we changed the next day as we were unpacking, and someone else came in our room thinking it was there, that night we were locked out of our room, sun night we wanted to watch a movie and couldnt because too many other people were watching. The maids didnt clean up our room one day and in the early morning the kept coming in our room and knocking and knocking for room service.”

  • The grounds, room, amenities & friendly staff were all great. Great water park!
  • Can't think of anything.

“Great location; just off expressway & not far from airport. Beautiful grounds and lots of pools with hot tubs to choose from. Friendly and accommodating staff. You can have fun here with family or just relax on your own.”

  • The rooms decor/comfortable beds/great water park for kids!
  • The size is pretty massive so getting around the hotel requires a lot of walking.

“The rooms were recently decorated-beautiful. The beds were so comfy and the rooms very quiet us all slept great. The water park was the biggest hit with the kids-can spend a full day there. The size of the complex is very large so you do a lot of walking to get around. Because of the size, I would recommend this for business travelers or families-but not for a quiet get-away. There are some great scenic hiking paths near by. The sports facility is top notch.”

  • The accommodations were extremely attractive and comfortable. The amenities were fabulous.
  • The staff at the pool bar was distracted and the service wasn't good.

“My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort. The accommodations were extremely attractive and very comfortable. The amenities were fabulous. Many pools, great outdoor recreation, food and drink. We truly felt like we were on vacation at a tropical resort.”

  • Huge! Facilities I didn't even get to use.
  • Needs more parking and currently constructing, so some dirt and disruption.

“Just off the highway, so very accessible. Gigantic! The suites are nice to have - although I wish the fridge was empty, and not stocked like a mini-bar. Great water park and pools!”

  • Nice that the bedroom was separated by a door.
  • Automatic fee for water park, even if you didn't use it.

“The Arizona Grand is a great family hotel. Water park with wave pool, a river float, slides, ball and volleyball. Clean rooms, comfy beds, good water pressure if you want it on the shower heads.”

  • Beautiful grounds, great service, very friendly.
  • The bathrooms were a little small, small TV's.

“The hotel grounds were beautiful. The rooms were tastefully decorated. We only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer. the employees were very friendly and helpful. We ate at one of the on grounds restaurants, the wait was a little long because they do not take reservations, but they provided a ride to and from and the food was great. We will be staying there again soon.”

  • Beautifully updated rooms & public spaces.
  • Still under construction in some areas.

“Lovely Spanish-style resort with beautiful grounds and many amenities. The water park would appeal to families with children. It was too cool for us to sun or swim but would be lovely another time. Service was excellent and the restaurant on the hill was wonderful!”

  • I like how it is secluded.
  • Too many kids.

“I took this little getaway to have time with my spouse. I guess we chose the wrong weekend, because there were kids everywhere, wearing baseball attire.”

  • The accommodations were divine and the location was stupendous.
  • Nothing.

“This hotel was beautiful. Unfortunately, we only stayed the night, but with amenities the hotel had to offer, we certainly wanted to stay longer. The staff and room service was fantastic. It made our brief stay in Phoenix, a pleasant one.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • The water park.
  • The closest swimming pool was closed, the water parks wave pool was closed, the refrigerator was not stocked.

“We were disappointed because we spent a little extra for the room because of the water park, but as I mentioned above the wave pool was closed, and when we wanted to go swimming in the evening we had to walk a long way to find a pool that was open. The family pool closest to our room was out of order. I know these things happen and are uncontrollable but our overnight stay wasn't what we hoped for.”

  • Numerous activities for spouse and kids, i.e. Water park, Spas, golfing.
  • High price in-room dining, tiny bathrooms, dated room decor, worn-out mattress on sleeper/sofa.

“I stayed at this hotel based on a recommendation from a local co-worker. I was visiting Phoenix for a business trip and my family was looking at local housing/neighborhoods for an upcoming relocation to the area. Overall my family enjoyed the stay which was 5 days, but I will admit that after the third day the inadequate facilities, worn mattress, tiny bathroom, one bathroom for a "two room suite" started to wear on everyone a bit. In addition, the bathroom only contained a toilet and the sink was located in the main bedroom, a major inconvenience with 2 kids and a wife. My package included water park tickets for the duration of our stay which was great for my kids who enjoy swimming and water based activities very much. The water park was very attractive and pretty clean for the most part. The "two-room suite" was clean but as I stated before the outdated decor definitely lowered the attractiveness of the room a bit. In addition, the balcony attached to the bedroom was covered in bird droppings which discouraged using that area. In closing, I observed that the resort is indeed upgrading; many of the suites based on the displays that I viewed in the lobby the upgraded rooms will be more attractive.”

  • Good location.
  • A little dated.

“We went on the 4th of July for the water park feature. It was very busy. Not enough pool chairs or staff to work the enormous crowd. Ordinarily, it is probably fine but it was just way too busy to really relax.”

  • The watermark "the oasis" was a perfect getaway!
  • The rooms need a little renovating, like the beds, floor, TV.

“The hotel offers a wonderful getaway for a family from out of town or from in town ;).”

  • Free internet access.
  • Room service - expensive, never correct and slow.

“This hotel was quite disappointing. The staff was friendly but unknowledgeable. The rooms were clean but in need of refurbishment. A lot of hidden extras and not a luxurious feel.”

  • Very nice grounds, accommodations, rooms, entry.
  • Rustlers Roost made us ill. Fillet was raw, ribs were greasy. Made us ill!

“Great for romantic getaways or family weekends. Superb accommodations. Avoid Rustlers Roost as food was not prepared properly and made us ill. 30' Latitude exceptional choice as well as Aunt Chillada's.”

  • Beautiful grounds.
  • Extra charges once we arrived.

“I thought that the hotel was over priced. Then they tacked on an extra 20 fee once we arrived. We requested a late check out and then were locked out of our rooms early. I don't intend on staying there again.”

  • Relaxing, up class fame-friendly resort.
  • Limited shuttle service. If you want to go off prop, you need a car.

“I travel 60% of my time on business. This was a leisure fame trip for spring break, kids are 8 and 6. We rented a car at the airport. Wife and I found it to be relaxing, up class fame-friendly resort. We picked Pointe south based on the water park and great location to the freeways to do other activities off property too (spring training baseball games, rawhide western town, go carting racing for the kids, downtown pHs, horse back riding, act).kids had a great time, lot to do at the resort water park and mom and dad can lay by the pool and relax and even enjoy a conversation and drink! Staff was very helpful; room was clean and large enough for 4 of us. Bathroom a tad small. But hey, you¿re on vacation and unless you have a high mint wife or teen girls, you can deal with it. A resort fee is additional that allows you to use the resort fac /accommodation. As long as you know this going in to this, you will do well; some find out at check in and feel put off. All in all, after reading the reviews, it was just on target of what I expected.”

  • The grounds around the hotel are beautiful.
  • The resort is a little difficult to Navigate due to its large size.

“This resort has a relaxed atmosphere and well maintained grounds. Because of the watermark it would be an excellent place for families to vacation. It is my understanding that the resort will soon be starting major renovations of the rooms which should make a stay even more pleasant. For the price, I thought the property was reasonably priced and I would stay there again.”
